Oh Spangles darling - get over yourself...you can click on anyone's name and there is an option to view all posts by said person. Try it. -

I have always found them friendly. And I often pop in to see what clothes they have in - they sell good quality secondhand clothes at very reasonable prices. -
I think Jaws and Strawbs have just demonstrated a whole new level of Forumitis - couples communicating through threads and pms! I think eventually we need someone to propose by starting a thread....I reckon it'll happen before 2010!

Oooh I will check Jack out -thank you very much. N17...*rolls eyes*...I know, I know. Even though I spent the first twelve years of my life in Tottenham I don't think I will be going myself. Even if it is for charidee!

Hee hee - there I go again! That's so funny! Nope - you are absolutely right MP - I am blushing terribly (Four years as an editor and proofreader - four years!) And yes I do know cesarean is spelt differently. Can I now wear a crown as Queen of Malapropisms?
-
Hee hee - I had to double check myself...but yes cesarians it is - google them! Honest!

The Ting Tings have produced a rather cheerful if frivolous summer album. I saw an amazing band at Stoke fest on Sunday - The Cesarians. They have stuff on youtube and itunes but I can't do a link with my handheld. They have shades of The Divine Comedy but seem heavily influenced by Kurt Weil and dark murky cabaret - quite broody, quite dark.

I believe The Woodcraft Folk meet at Kingsdale school on Thursday evenings. It seems to be an interesting movement - www.woodcraft.org.uk Lots of different activities, with a lovely backdrop of respect, co-operation and encouraging young people to find their indvidual voices and take responsibility. (the cynic in me would also point out that it will look good on a Ucas form too!)

ED Forum = Reality Entertainment

Can I play Davina please? Surely Moos and AnnaJ are the sexy voices in the diary room...authoritative but a little cheeky too. But what I really want to know is whether there is a Big Mouthed Russell Brand lurking on the forum? -
26th is good for me...I take it Kebab and Wine will be the last stop?!

Ooooh I am the Queen of Malapropisms. For years and years as a teenager I would announce that I was ravishing when hungry ...and no one ever corrected me. And recently - I literally mean months ago - I relayed a story to several different friends where I refered to going for someone's juggernaut during an argument.

Oh Allycat, me too ...seems like they had a ball! And all those newbies too...hoping you will all come out to play again in July. -
Things I have done today instead of working....

I have made a fresh fruit salad...all that chopping is a great way of procrastinating; now I am listening to Streisand's Greatest Hits which is a great source of distraction - it takes great concentration to sing both the Neil Diamond and Bab's parts of You Don't me Flowers Anymore. I've written four paragraphs so far today...good job I'm not writing a sequel to War and Peace. Oooh - gotta run, No More Tears, Enough is Enough is coming up....I've got a whole dance routine for that one. -

Well Bignumber5 you've convinced me...put me down for the 11th! Seriously it would be better for me - the 4th is my first Friday at new job so might get asked out for drinks (if they don't hate me on sight!). Alternatively I might like to run back to the friendly forum folk at the end of that week - so really whichever, I will be there, fingers crossed. -
Live in East Dulwich and work in .....?????????
Bellenden Belle replied to ratty's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
So I've ended up in Highbury... an hour and a quarter... train to London Bridge, tube to Kings Cross, tube to Arsenal, ten minutes walk. Mmmmm, I worked in Hackney for two years prior to that and that was equally torturous .... I am seriously contemplating whether I should rent for a year North of the river.... though it would break my heart to leave ED - Arsenal Angel just doesn't suit me the way Bellenden Belle does. -
I get Bjork thrown at me a lot - I think it's the short pixie thing going on. Pictures of myself aged three and Suri, Tom Cruises and Katie Holmes child, are indistinguishable - I had an ex contact me years later to point this out. Who would I like to look like? Helena Christensen would be perfect, ta very much!

The candyman is without doubt a God....mornings have never been the same since he left (I always thought Baker on weekdays and Jackie Clune at the weekends aided my early days of courting immensely). I like Feltz - I think she is warm and engaging and actually intelligent - and often wonder if people who criticise her formed their opinion whilst she on tv battling with a terrible format. Joanne Good I enjoy and don't think the evening slot has ever recovered from her departure. But I loathe Paul Ross (is it Paul?) almost but not as much as Jono. Bring back Baylen or failing that even Max. I have a soft spot for Eddie Nestor, and Sean - I too wonder if I have a crush on Tessa Dunlop. Gosh what a sight! But then it's been sold by Halifax who do a nice line in reposessions and erm, the "in need of modernisation" properties. We saw some horrors with them - though great if you have the time and energy. That said 400,000 for a two bed on Crystal Palace Road? Madness!

Bless you TedMax - but fear not, I don't hold you responsible. I so hear you DC about puns in shop names - in fact I was actually challenging my suspicions by eating in there in the first place... and I must say the owners were charm itself so I really did hold out hope. On a plus side I have returned to Sea Cow and think they are back on form...their cod (yes, very unethical, I know) was lovely! My favourite street for shop names has to be Essex Road - a taxidermist called Get Stuffed and a hairdresser with the pessimistic promise of a name - It'll Grow Back!

So why isn't Cod > Fellas of bellenden on the above list?..The best > fish and chips ?'ve ever had.surroundings very > clean and bright. To be reccomended. I am going to have to step in here - on the recommendation of Tedmax I tried Cod Fellas. Omigod - it was terrible. The batter tasted stale and was distinctly soggy.... it felt as if a tiny piece of fish had been swaddled in overbearing bready lard. The chips shared the same distinctly unpleasant taste. Avoid avoid avoid! As for why they aren't on the list - probably not inspected yet as they are only about four months open. But hygiene is not the same as quality or taste - I experienced neither at Cod Fellas.

I am so excited I am giddy! I have just been offered a really exciting job! Working for an amazing national charity, in a role which is all about people, people, people! And for a manager with an amazing track record from whom I actually think I could learn. The last two months have been a little crazy on the job front - stopping and starting, trying consultancy work, trying teaching and really just not wanting a job at all. So its amazing that last Thursday I hauled my sorry a***e to a recruitment consultant and one week later - hey presto! And that it ticks all my boxes! Time for champers and shopping I think!

I've mentioned before that I won't be there but I have suddenly had a thought. All these threads about pulling, d**ks and M*****S, I am wondering if the forum is getting into a Vale frame of mind. We are such social chameleons! I'm looking forward to seeing pics of AnnaJ swinging a Barcardi Breezer bottle and screaming "I'll 'ave yeh". obviously this is not a fair reprsentation of the Vale, its clientele or indeed AnnaJ...well, perhaps AnnaJ -
47. That every East Dulwich forum thread eventually escalates into a catastrophe where one or more particpants flounces off midst a storm of class war, misunderstandings and frustration...only to eventually sneak back in through the back door, usually known as the innocuous What are you listening to? thread.
