Hey Elphinstone. I actuslly did grow up in the country and my parents and one of my brothers still live there running the family farm. I think you know nothing about it. There are humane ways to kill animals and birds and there are sociopathic ways as demonstrated by these boys, who were not for one moment concerned about the size of the pidgeon population.

A horse died at Aintree three days ago. The Grand National was always designed to be a testing curcuit with more regard for spectacle than the safety of horses. Even though today, more focus is on safety, a horse stil dies jumping Becher's Brook, and for what? So someone somewhere can make a few quid. To me, horse racing is no different to fox hunting. It pushes horses to their limits and opens them up to completely preventable stress and injury just so that someone can get a jolly somewhere. The saddest thing is how those horses that do manage to survive a life of racing end up when their trainers no longer want them.

I think the council are the ones to contact on this. They will go after flytippers legally if they have evidence of who is guilty.

It seems like a display of brinkmanship to me. I'm not sure who was most supposed to be more impressed, Assad or Russia. And it will make not one iota of difference to anything happening in Syria either.

Hi Kwayz. Was the orginal burn first or second degree, and did you seek treatment at the time? It takes around 18 months for a second degree burn to fade. And you should avoid sunburn on the affected area to aid that healing.

Well you can apologise, but there are good reasons to oppose horse racing from an animal welfare perspective. I will spare the usual complaints about injury and training cruelty and ask just this. What on earth is the point of horse racing? Betting on animals whipped to run as fast as they can around a track! What purpose does it serve?

I think it depends on who is rehoming. I personaly don't like to see people selling animals, but as I understand it, that is not allowed on this forum. But let's say someone, for reasons they can not help, has to find a new home for their pet. I know of many people who have been turned away by rehoming charities seeking that help, because charities are overwhelmed. So what are they supposed to do? If they can not use a forum like this, then where do they go? I would argue that because of the demographic nature of this forum, that they are more likely to find a good home here for a pet, than some other ottions like gumtree (you will find people trying to rehome pets there too). I would say this is a good forum to find responsible new owners for a pet.

You can't help but feel that Mr Brooks is being further victimised by this. Are the family of the burglar just being facetious in their behaviour, given that he did not actually die at the house, but in the next street while fleeing (according to reports). Any threats of retribution must be taken seriously by the Police. This is a family with a history of distraction burglaries on elderly people for which two members are currently serving jail sentences. So these are not reasonable people.

It is reported that Mr Brooks and his disabled wife are not able to return home yet and have been subject to threats from the family of the killed burglar. The family also have had the audacity to put hundreds of flowers and cards literally on the doorstep of the pensioner's home (neighbours have moved them to the pavement off the property).

Btw I had to go back three years to find that username and there is a whole section of that person being accused of being me (I think it was around the time I joined this forum oddly). No proof offered and what looks some bullying going on as well. Seriously, not good. The only way to conclusively prove that two users are the same is if they they both use the same static IP address. I don't think data protection law allows sharing that info, but I use a dynamic IP which changes every so often automatically, and it is possible for any dynamic IP to be used by others over time. This is also why blocking people doesn't really work either. They can just come back from a different dynamic IP (as no doubt PG will) if they are determined to be disruptive.

Thanks guys. Yes Admin does a great job in making this forum even possible and I would be the last person to levy criticism, but on this occasion, I think they have it wrong. Quite a few people (if not everyone) have been brilliant and eloquent on this thread. There has been some good discussion (and differing opinions) around side issues as well, and it has been done with respect. All apart that is from one person(s). You have to be passionate about things sometimes because they really matter. Endorsement of groups like those behind the poster that started this thread is no laughing matter. I have finally arrived at a place where I have had enough of PG and his alias.

Thank you for the support POUS and Rendel. I could easily go to the Police with the threatening private messages. And as you say, who would want someone who behaves like that working for them? This is partly why I don't understand why the two accounts behave in the way they do outside of the trades section. I don't post that much, There are a couple of coversations in the General Issues and Lounge that I follow. I'm not a prolific poster. My wife spends more time on the forum in other sections. Yet I have been blocked from EVERY section but the Lounge. On what grounds? I would support anyone making a stand against an apologist for a neo-nazi group. I think most decent people would. As PeckhamGuy, or Frank or whatever his name is has shown, not only does he see nothing wrong in that neo-nazi group, but he also laughs at, and ridicules the middle classes that he says dominate this forum, when challenged on it. That would be the same middle class forum users he is always chasing for work in the trades section then. And that is why, on seeing his latest gawking effort this morning, I decided to signpost a couple of his trades posts to the kind of person he really is. I am sure I am not the only person to think he has gone far enough.

You need to look at the other thread to see where that has come from really. And getting threatening private messages from anyone is not on. Have a look at it all later. I am not the only person calling out PeckhamGuy for this.
