  1. I think we only got served because we asked if they served very expensive chips
  2. you might pass it off with overcrowding but loss of green space is a bit of s stretch given it's right next to dulwich park, the horniman and sydenham woods.
  3. I paid ?5 for a glass of coke in the pub in Dulwich Village - which is enough to make you turn to alcohol and buy a pint instead
  4. Greendale being accessible to everybody. Why are we always happy with developments elsewhere, so long as they are not on our own doorstep?
  5. people have to live somewhere. I'd rather they built here and kept the Greendale wild space.
  6. Get in touch with the micro chip company, they will lock the chip so it cannot be altered.
  7. It?s a great space. Look past the graffiti Nigello and see the kids playing, people walking dogs and people just chilling out. Some people are very keen on developments, however this area is very well used and loved by many.
  8. Isn?t there a correlation between volume of cars and traffic jams and air pollution?
  9. @Sue No, not joking.
  10. the idea that people drive to get somewhere 20 seconds away in the first place really suggests the cause of the problem here.
  11. there's one outside East Dulwuich station on the London Bridge side
  12. Happy Birthday Aaron 🤩
  13. It is distraction. They are trying to avoid questions such as "prove you have cleaned the drains in the last ten years" (which they haven't) and so on. typically bully behaviour. Good point about impact on other flats - there isn't any - everyone has known about the work I've done since we were doing it. Quite pleased I have a fab solicitor.
  14. it's a long story - I have complained about the quality of the work that the Property Management company have done - as there is damage to my flat from blocked drains, leaking roof and from leaks from flat above. Their response is to challenge me on something that happened a long time ago rather than address the issues. I have a solicitor but just asking here. I will check the lease but it's really if the layouts of the property are set if a freehold changes hands.
  15. I just want to understand my position, if anyone has any experience? I bought a flat around 2003 and renovated it, changing the layout. Since then myself and the other leaseholders bought the freehold (as shareholders of a company). Now, after nearly 20 years, I've been asked by the other freeholders to put my flat back to its original layout. My question is - if the freehold was bought with the conversion already done, does that mean that the layout at the time was accepted? or does it mean I need to get retrospective permission? Too much time has passed and I have paid all service charges, major works etc so they have negated their right in any case. Thanks Angelina
  16. It is a revenue stream but TFL are not a profit organisation so all revenue is fed back in to improve transport around London (eg new Bakerloo line). While people may feel heavily inconvenienced, car pollution is a real problem.
  17. I think it's ok. I have nothing to hide and trust my Government to do it properly
  18. Why pick on students to fill the gaps? There are many unemployed. Perhaps there is a disconnect in communication of the vacancies. As for students, my daughter works part time (doesn?t earn much per hour) and studies as do all of her friends.
  19. That's a LOT of police presence, especially since the two men had left. Awful for the children to experience.
  20. Isn?t fireworks really celebrating an epic failure? Or a reminder that the government has continually failed?
  21. I'd rather noisy fireworks were banned - they have a far greater detrimental impact
  22. they were picking up from our skip yesterday. I'd leave it outside and it will be gone in a day .
  23. https://www.thesun.co.uk/money/15921594/how-much-cost-boil-kettle/ It costs around ?2.50 a year if you make a cup of tea every day. As for the shower, I thought it was normal to turn the water down or off. How can you do treatments with the water running? Unless you?re just having a quick shower?
