  1. He could have kept it in the shop longer, but that's really not the issue. The issue is the behaviour of the OP - can't believe they would go on a forum to publicly slate a local business owner, when they have done nothing wrong.
  2. I agree that they should remain. Southwark have a record of being too quick to cut down treees so I would be more than happy to provide any support
  3. Thanks Penguin. They came in 15mins and sorted it out 😊
  4. Hi, my gas supply has just cut out. Anyone else?
  5. touchy (also petty) "Let's stop bashing people who....." 1) don't agree with you 2) are responsible dog owners who need to use the green (various reasons) and stop the agenda to get the green banned from dog walking. There are more grown up responses to both of the above; education , availability of resources - a number of suggestions have been made in the above posts
  6. In the four months we've used Goose Green, I'be seen one poo that hasn't been picked up
  7. A lot of people are in that situation...many in far worse. My generosity doesn't stretch as far as supporting another family, who are actually quite OK and not vulnerable.
  8. so it's definitely owners and not dog walkers then. are you a "dog walker"?
  9. No to boiling water. They'll be gone soon anyway
  10. Rather petition the cafe not to use Single Use Plastic and only biodegradable cups. We have them at work. People forget they hold the power as consumers.
  11. A holiday
  12. I suggest that the community of dog walkers are alerted to the problem by putting up posters and asking for their help in keeping the green clean.
  13. I would rather support a ban on multi dog walkers, same as Dulwich Woods, than a ban on all dog owners. If you actually watch the dog walkers, they are not watching the dogs at all, whereas people with family dogs do
  14. All the people i have met (i'm there every day) walking their dogs are doing just that...playing and spending time rogather. I would put my money on the culprits being multi-dog-walkers, who i've only ever seen on their phones and ignoring the dogs they ate paid to watch.
  15. You are actually very vulnerable near home as you tend to think you are safe and not be watchful. Of course don't have your phones out - that's just stupid really, given the publicity such crime has in the area. And of course, just let it go - don't chase after them. If you've got important photos on it, download them, store your numbers, buy a phone you can afford to lose.
  16. you can take them with your phone if you apply online - the app checks the photo before you submit so you're guaranteed they will be accepted.
  17. A higher valuation at remortgage means you can increase your debt but it doesn't mean it's reflective of the actual sale price.

    Sorted :)

  19. The secret garden in Brockwell Park has gates and is dog free (it's up by the paddling pool just past the greenhouses) Please read the article - it talks about the effect on cats of being on leads. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/08/13/cat-lead-trend-causing-pets-distress-rspca-warns/
  20. drunk people / main road - what could go wrong?
  21. drinking an politics don't mix. Let's focus on more people being able to get out and enjoy themselves.
  22. Fully up for that Two cokes for the kids in the pub in the Village - pennies short of ?10 I could almost live with a small bowl of chips for ?4.50 until that point. They'd added it up wrong, so my ?25 for three cups of chips, two cokes and two ciders became ?35. Will not be going there again.
