  1. who parents the irresponsible adults who are out? Every time I see a group of adults together - who clearly do NOT live together, I want to call the police or their parents. but at their age, they should certainly know better. They are not setting a good example to our young people.
  2. Knife crime. Has it fallen since isolation? I haven't heard as much since.
  3. Did you phone the police when there were people gathering the parks at the weekend? You grumpy sods.
  4. Are you not outraged by the East Dulwich families who still have nannies they share with other families? Literally not giving a toss about isolation rules. Get some perspective. Teenagers have no say about homelife. I know teenagers who are stuck with abusive adults.
  5. with foodbanks closing and people out of work - it's a sad state of affairs.
  6. You could just self isolate and stay home, or go to park without gates and totally minimise any risk to yourself
  7. Wear gloves. And shut the gate behind you please.
  8. It's a good reminder of a basic safety measure, easily forgotten.
  9. People are selfish and entitled. Watch how it changes over the coming weeks, when this sinks in. They are probably novices and can't manage to move sideways
  10. Routine is key and planning your day, otherwise it can feel frantic. Kids need routine, and so do you. Bake - and teach them about food Paint - give them something to do, rather than anything they want as well - eg "today we're going to paint our favourite toy and out it on our wall". Plant seeds (you can make heads out of socks and grow cress hair) Story time (read a chapter of a book a day, as a fixed time) Board games Teach them how to sew (you can make a cat out of triangles) Look on Home Schooling sites. Of course, you have to continue with the school work, check in with your school on what you need to cover. Also, look online for free curriculum exercises and make it fun (just doing it with them makes it more fun). Exercise - you have to get out if you can, or you could play on the wii, do press ups, star jumps, dancing in the kitchen, walking on your toes. Oh my - how could I forget - TALK TO THEM and listen to them. Inspire them with the art of conversation.
  11. Why, if everyone slates DKH so much, do you even go there? A bit of community support towards them would go a long way. I'm sure they are doing their best. Although they could probably ration shoppers and let the elderly have the first two hours to do their shopping in peace first. Has anyone spoken to them?
  12. I wondered that too. Either way, he thought about a lot of people, the shop was full and quiet. Maybe a better bet than DKH, which sounds a total nightmare.
  13. yes, I've heard of people taking things out of elderly peoples hands - disgraceful
  14. Ireland - pubs closed on St Patrick's Day and private gatherings banned That is exceptional
  15. that's because there is no toilet paper. The Sun is next on the list..... although it's a bit inky, isn't it?
  16. That's totally irrational behaviour Co-op was well stocked last Friday. Why are people even going to the main shops (well, keep at it as it makes life on the high street so much easier)
  17. That's ignorant. You'll notice some cultures only use one hand for food, for a reason.
  18. what did people do before toilet rolls were introduced? and still do in many parts of the world. You can use hankies and hot wash them. I #love# peoples sham approach to reducing paper/ waste etc. Only if it's easy, right?
  19. DF - An uber from lidl is between ?5 and ?8. Probably less from Sainsbury DKH. I usually go once a month and get an uber back. It saves me shopping each week and avoids having to pop out for odd bits in the week, so saves money. It might be worth thinking about that, or linking up and shopping with a friend? I also used to trundle back from DKH with a trolley, but don't have all that time now.
  20. first time he's ever been shopping though - and he has an extended family so shopped for everyone. Quite thoughtful actually.
  21. Angelina

    HELP.

cold flannel on his head, give him a lukewarm bath and drink lots of water or ice lollies. Have you measured his temp? measure it, then measure it again in a bit.
  22. Lidl was pretty quiet yesterday, plenty of stuff on the shelves and no stressed shoppers or staff. My other half even went there on Saturday (first time ever). He said it was busy (but it always is on Saturday) and came home with lots of random stuff (three months worth of mouth wash and a pile of paracetamol, a ton of veg and enough meat to do a BBQ to feed all of Australia!
  23. Cuffing children? That's extreme.
  24. Italy's health system is a shambles anyway. Maybe this will remind people here of why the NHS is important.
