  1. I like fireworks and I'm totally OK with parties (although not the drunk teenage girl on East Dulwich Grove who just screams and does karaoke badly -just wrong) but loud firework displays need warning if not when usually expected. Our dog was absolutely terrified and she's a rescue so I'm thankful I just happened to be home.
  2. First rule of business....keep it relevant
  3. That is just awful. I hope you are ok. I hope the lady contacts the police. Have they put up witness appeal posters? There must have been lots of people about :-(
  4. what a low life - you really don't need that to deal with on top of everything else Tell the police, tell you insurance company that you have a witness who is withholding information for payment and then get on with sorting out your car. Don't give this person any money. Hope you're ok.
  5. yes chips and lasagne, and salad the only pasta that goes with chips (not fish and chip shop chips though)
  6. our neighbour has one - leading out onto a small patch of artificial grass (they had to give their pet rabbit away too). Not even room to hang your socks out
  7. This is a question for them, rather than speculation on the forum
  8. Just posting the link as it's lost in the main thread on this https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/save-the-cox-s-walk-footbridge-oak-trees?bucket&source=facebook-share-button&time=1565107690&utm_campaign&utm_source=facebook&fbclid=IwAR1Mvw9o2MHDm3gmo1jMs0lDsYSQe5XF7dBWeNSLsuvUGghoebULdxBFJ-8 More signatures and support needed!
  9. wow - now it's escalated to all of London? # just left London as it's so bad but still on the community forum? #
  10. the issue isn't really what the shopowner could have done - it's the OP slating him on social media what if the shopowner had gone on facebook and written - "ED Parent forgets sons precious scooter - what awful parenting..." It would just be wrong.
  11. you would have thought, but the council don't seem to care much about trees - and the risk is they will be felled without a full understanding or discussion.
  12. He could have kept it in the shop longer, but that's really not the issue. The issue is the behaviour of the OP - can't believe they would go on a forum to publicly slate a local business owner, when they have done nothing wrong.
  13. I agree that they should remain. Southwark have a record of being too quick to cut down treees so I would be more than happy to provide any support
  14. Thanks Penguin. They came in 15mins and sorted it out 😊
  15. Hi, my gas supply has just cut out. Anyone else?
  16. touchy (also petty) "Let's stop bashing people who....." 1) don't agree with you 2) are responsible dog owners who need to use the green (various reasons) and stop the agenda to get the green banned from dog walking. There are more grown up responses to both of the above; education , availability of resources - a number of suggestions have been made in the above posts
  17. In the four months we've used Goose Green, I'be seen one poo that hasn't been picked up
  18. A lot of people are in that situation...many in far worse. My generosity doesn't stretch as far as supporting another family, who are actually quite OK and not vulnerable.
  19. so it's definitely owners and not dog walkers then. are you a "dog walker"?
  20. No to boiling water. They'll be gone soon anyway
  21. Rather petition the cafe not to use Single Use Plastic and only biodegradable cups. We have them at work. People forget they hold the power as consumers.
