  1. overwhelmingly and sadly, yes.
  2. No. far from it. There are many other religions in this category - it should not only be Christianity that is pulled to pieces. I am saying that under the name of religion, there are people who do great deeds of good. Just as there are people who use religion to permit their nasty views. So, be balanced. Bit much to expect maybe? I know this forum when there's something to jump on.
  3. The Bible is opening to misinterpretation, as are other religious texts. They can be used to validate behaviours / ideas that are far from intended. There are some amzing Christian charities which operate the world over, Christian Aid supports communities regardless of their own religion. We also have the Salvation Army. So before you condemn it, look at the bigger picture. Nearly all religions can be blamed for war - some followers make good of their beliefs and this should never be diminished - WHETHER YOU AGREE OR NOT. DO you - individually - do more to help other people?

One would strongly hope we get May moved out and get decent negotiators in

There is flexibility / elasticity of treaties/ rules and this has been applied on a number of occasions so it is not unreasonable to say that they are being rigid. Presumably you are happy with TM / EU agreement?

Dominating talks and negotiating are not the same thing. They are not negotiating.

The EU officials are really showing their true colours.
  8. why does a 1 yo need a birthday cake? check out mummytries blog (google it, not sure we're allowed to post links)- she's completely sugar free and has loads of recipes! The lady who writes it has three young kinds and they are all sugar free!
  9. I sweep the stairs with a brush, which makes things a bit easier. Choice of vacuum cleaner helps. The dyson I bought makes it all very easy. the more often you do it, the easier it is.
  10. It's a fact people (of all ages) sleep better when they sleep with somebody. Let her sleep with you - why do you discount this as an option for her?
  11. hello Hazel, Does Freddie know you are giving away your code? If I was a start up business, while I would encourage / reward new customers, I don't know how I would survive if I had to give that reward to everyone, whether they were a customer or not. Imagine if 10,000 people used the code you have just given. That would cost the company ?249,999.
  12. I gave the chap in the nail bar ?1 (yes, I was embarrassed that was all the change I had) as he had done such a good job taking my daughter's fake nails off - he was over the moon - which made me worry :-(
  13. Always tip your hairdresser - they don't get paid much but make you feel fab! 10% ish. Never for a bad cut, but you would have already told them that, either verbally or by crying....

We should change our ballot papers to the usual suspects with the additional new box "EU". So, if no one feels like voting in one of the contenders (and who does?), then we have the option to vote for the EU. If nothing else, it might increase the skills/ talents of our wannabe MP/ PMs - which is currently embarrassing and shameful.

I think if this was a movie, rotten tomatoes would say it was a such a childish plotline, it would be given a RT rating of 0/10 (bad). Ian Fleming had good plots - this is just a shambles.
  16. I've just seen this posted on Herne Hill Mums facebook page. I've attached the photo the lady included on her post. If you do see this, do not assume the machine has got your card and call the bank immediately to tell them what has happened. Hi Mums & Dads, **BEWARE** Just wanted to share a cash point scam I just fell victim to in Herne Hill on Half Moon Lane. I managed to view everything that happened on CCTV... Two men fixed the cash machine so it swallowed my card saying ?service suspended customer tampering suspected ? so after a few attempts at getting my card back I walked off... (one of the men actually advised me to go and cancel it.) They then quickly extracted my card and went to Tesco cash point and took out all my money (having also probably recorded my pin). May have been a one off incident but thought I?d share incase they?ve found a good spot to operate in.
  17. The risk is that when it goes wrong - and not IF - people's safety / health/ lives are at risk. This is not a system that should have ANY capacity for going wrong.
  18. oh no. The School Fair was brilliant, so I hope this conman didn't put a dampner on it too much :-( I bought one of the wreaths and absolutely love it!
  19. So, you think the owner deserves squatters?
  20. Matthew - what charities do you "operate"? Don't we normally 'support' charities? and why is your focus spread across mulitple ones? I choose my charities carefully and this sounds rather...spreading yourself too thin, perhaps?
  21. but they still won't accept any responsibility - that's just as shocking. what a sad situation, poor little thing. Six years old and terrified in what is supposed to be a safe place.

I suppose it depends on how you look at it. May's deal is a bit hokey cokey
