  1. enough said already but, nonetheless..... What do you expect if you go around taking photos with no explanation? You're lucky you didn't get your camera taken away at the very least. Perhaps use the correct methods of reporting people. What other misdeeds of your neighbours do you like to look out for? Just so we know.
  2. I am surprised that anyone would want to delve into what women want, categorised by their age, profession, family, taste. I'd insert a table, but there isn't functionality. A - WOMEN 1. with family - wants room for family or wants car without room for family to get a bit of time alone 2. without family - wants room for friends or family but also may want car without room for friends and family 3. under 25 - with family - see 1 above 4. under 25 - without family - see 2 above 5. over 25 - with family - see 1 above 6. over 25 - without family - see 2 above 7 - profession - [insert profession] - depends what profession requires. eg - dog grooming - may need a van to allow shampooing in the back. eg - food delivery - may need a boot eg etc etc etc. B - MEN - see above Note - I really didn't bother to answer the part of the question that looks at "taste" as there are billions of people on the planet and they all like either different things or the same things or a combination thereof......and I don't have all day. You're welcome.
  3. 5th November = One night. Fireworks go one for many nights. We have some total planks trying to let theirs off in this weather. It’s disruptive and traumatic for people and animals.
  4. It’s incredibly selfish to say that there are bigger contributions to environmental health than fireworks, so let’s not bother to try. Could you possibly be more up yourself than that? Do you extend that to everything? Non recyclable coffee cups? Single use plastic? I’d go on but you probably don’t care. Fireworks are pretty but the loud noise is terrifying to wildlife and animals. I am 100% in favour of a ban on noisy fireworks. For those with animals, you can get calming collars which help massively.
  5. Who keeps bread in the fridge?
  6. The issue is that the origin of a word is deemed irrelevant once that word is used in an abusive context. It doesn't matter what's it's Greek or Latin origin was and whether it used to mean strong women or not. There are certain words that we don't use as we know they are offensive. That list is clearly growing. If the bakery is aware of the impact of it's badly chosen name then it should so something about it.
  7. The DKH one is dreadful - mainly due to the customers. Nasty shopping experience. We go to Waitrose or elsewhere.... gave up on DKH when we were abused by a member of the public.
  8. If they were claiming to represent a charity - did you ask them for their ID? The charity would provide enough id to prove that they are. Or just saying on here that they were dodgy without checking?
  9. One of the last places to get normal priced food and drink People are being priced out of areas.
  10. Surely this is affecting your neighbours too? I would think that you would be in a better position if you can join up other people. Claiming that you are the only one suffering would seem odd. It would also mean you can share costs and have greater power.
  11. it's all about communication.
  12. reptile shop/ aquarium in Crystal Palace
  13. I think "you smell" is less offensive. Women with babies can be abusive as well
  14. Tightrope - also in Brockwell Park
  15. looks amazing - and doesn't look like a place people would take kids so it might be a nice night out (without mine :-)
  16. Sums it up nicely to hear that Maggie took a free house in Dulwich. FFS.
  17. I am in the park everyday and have not seen horses. I can therefore imagine that a number of people are also not aware that horses may be in the park. Many dogs will not have seen horses before and it's known that they will be scared and could chase the horses. It's awful to think about what could happen. Dogs attacking horses have led to horses being put down. Even a dog barking is enough to spook a horse. Dogs need to be socialised around horses and need to be trained to heel and come on command. We know that the large majority of dog owners do not have this level of control. All dog owners who cannot control their dogs should keep them on a lead around horses. It would make sense for the times the horses are out to have signs up on the gates - and all dogs to be on a lead in certain areas. I have never seen a sign or known when to expect horses in the park. It's the most sensible way forward - the park should be for everyone. And everyone should be safe. I'm actually impressed the owner went to the stables to see if she could socialise her dog. That's the safest way to control a dog around horses.
  18. It's hardly the Green Party's fault that we have an energy crisis. They are not the leading party and are not able to enforce climate changes that they have long been lobbying for. It is the Tory government who have not initiated an increase in - eg wind farms, insulation programmes or reducing the reliance on fossil fuels. The Tory Government is self serving, not forward looking and driven by profits. It's hard to see who else to focus this on.
  19. I believe so yes. All train operators. Lots of info online if you google it
  20. that's really selfish of them. I would put loud music on at inappropriate times and that should prompt a healthy enlightenment on their behalf which would ideally lead to healthy discussions and a bit of improvement in their behaviour.
  21. Great, so the additional funds the council have from the traffic fines will contribute to the building of the school. That?s brilliant.
  22. What is did to her is unimaginable. He tricked her first of all and handcuffed her. She had no chance to defend herself at all. The impact statements of her family are heartbreaking. Of course men matter, but it?s a different story for women. Sarah was just walking home.
