Re: Adult drawing short course recommendation?
curlykaren replied to anapau's topic in Request a Tradesperson
City Lit (near Holborn) not sure what's on at the moment but I have done a similar thing for my mum on two occasions and she always seems really happy with the experience. -
The link doesn't open anything useful for me, is it just me?

help for migrants in Calais
curlykaren replied to judith.arkwright@hot's topic in Request a Tradesperson
I'm surprised you thought my comments were directed towards you Sean? But, as I said, we don't know what support Judith may/may not give to other good causes. People are perfectly capable of being concerned about more than one thing. -

Perhaps Judith already spends time doing volunteer work in this country? Even if she didn't we are all free to chose the causes which move and motivate us. Some really vile comments above, perhaps you should spend some time pondering what moves and motivates you? -
Great Appreciation for Lordship Flooring
curlykaren replied to Jacqui5254's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Such poor form to suggest that other people's experiences and comments are less truthful or real than your own. (The way the OP stated it was somewhat more sinister than my paraphrasing). I myself posted on a much older thread about poor service in this establishment, its not a new thing. All the OP has done is draw attention to previous negative comments and the insinuation of impropriety, by negative reviewers, shows neither the OP or LL flooring in a good light. -
Goals in Beckenham, its in the same complex as Gambado.

I'm 6 weeks into an 8 week mindfulness course and I love it. Great for finding some tactics to remain calm around kids and have started to introduce it to my 6yr old. Please let me know if you set up something.

can anyone recommend a cat hotel?
curlykaren replied to canela's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Have you tried Jane? I'm pretty sure she takes in animals for boarding. Search her name. All the best -
I could have written the exact same post about the Lambeth and Southwark HA. No help to you but you are not alone. Good luck! (PS. I put all my complaints through the formal complaints process to get to the Housing Ombudsman)

Are there any maths workshops for children?

There is an explore learning centre at Sainsburys in New Cross. -
Dulwich Hamlet Supporters are holding an event and have a donations page, please have a look in the 'what's on' section of the forum, might be more efficient to join/promote/donate/support an already up and running scheme. If people sign the petitions please also click on the 'email my MP' link, if you can't think what to write then feel free to copy/paste my text.... This petition now has over 300,000 signatories and awaits a response from the government. Please vigorously pursue not only an answer to the petition but a course of action that seeks to put an end to the shamefully inadequate response of our government. Thank you

curlykaren replied to dibden's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Fountains at Somerset house are wonderful, not far from Covent garden either. Re: fountains at Southbank centre, always call first to check they are on as it can be unpredictable. Museum of London is great. -

How about Paultons? It's got peppa pig world in it, fabulous gardens, water play park, loads of kiddie rides outside of the peppa pig area and loads of easily accessible lockers for dumping swim stuff/picnic/coats. I found it to be far less frantic than legoland or chessington because there is just so much greenery to relax in/near when not doing rides. Really lovely park.
