  1. A third for Dr Prabhakaran.

  3. we put ours in a 'Druids Friendly' investment account that invests solely in the UK housing market, I have been really pleased with the rate of return so far. Don't have time to dig out the paperwork now but if you send me a PM to remind me I will get the contact details for you.
  4. I used to really worry about this, now I just tell the kid off. If the parent doesn't like it let them come and talk to me about it!
  5. so willjac not even a refund on the nappies bought then? someone please tell me who would be the govt body covering this? Trading Standards??? Don't have a clue myself?
  6. hi new mother, did they get you speak to their medical service? That is what the emails are telling me to do. No mention of a refund. Will call tomorrow. Willjac...any news?
  7. very unimpressed by my response from pampers, basically telling me that the nappies made for US market are a completly different product so any information I have read about it is not relevant. Have asked them to explain the other cases in my area? Hmmm?
  8. we had our nappies from sainsburys as well (dog kennel hill), don't remember the pattern on them. Have emailed pampers again in disgust!
  9. my sons rash wasn't as large as that but did turn into scabs and he was having absolute hysterics about having his nappy changed, literally begging me, no nooo nooo mummy. We were pretty certain at the time it was the nappy as he had never really had a rash before.
  10. yes MrBen, I too find it stirring. Political apathy is so widespread in this country that I welcome almost any indication to the contrary. Beginning of the end for the coalition? One can only hope...
  11. having read the cbs news article I was wondering which govt agency in this country would be responsible for overseeing this matter? Now that I see they were aware of a possible problem with the nappies way before we contacted them about my sons rash I'm feeling pretty cross that they fobbed me off so readily!
  12. and was that a change of nappy for your son alieh or was it one of his regular nappies? willjac, please let us know what pampers say?
  13. we had a very similar experience, even contacted pampers to see if there was a different chemical in the baby dry type as we had never had a problem with the other kind. They refused to tell us and advised that we get in touch with their baby experts to talk about treating nappy rash. We have gone back to the normal ones with no probs. I strongly suspect there are different chemicals, hope your bubs is better soon x
  14. I have never been able to figure out if this is a members only thing at Jags? Anyone know?
  15. I had the same story from two men on my doorstep tonight...free broadband because the area had an exchange upgrade and had I had the literature from talk talk explaining? I didn't even take chain off the door but they were pretty overfriendly, if they are trying to make a living then they are probably going the wrong way about it.
  16. I second that EDMummy, Russell is fantastic. Don't hold your breath for an NHS resolution, I waited 5 weeks for a support belt from the hospital when I was 7/8 months pregnant and NHS physios don't really do any hands on work anymore, they will just give you exercises.
  17. post office/news agent on forest hill road
  18. bump....reminder!
  19. have a look online and see if any of the spanish tv stations run a similar service to the BBC i player, then you will be able to put on some spanish cartoons/word games etc.
  20. I'm with Zoe, I walked straight back out and given the lack of space in the pool timetable for general and family swimming I'm not sure my son and I will get a chance to use the pool at all. Shabby stuff.
  21. I'm with you on that HJQ. There is very little room in the time table for general swimming sessions. Plenty of adult only lane swimming and swim school though, seems like I have been waiting in vain....ho humm
  22. does it involve being a member or is it simply drop in member or not? thanks
  23. ooo yes, please take annajs' advice onboard, its really not good to do the exercises regularly while peeing!
  24. hi, I saw the lovely alison on the weekend for a nice time in peckham rye, I'm going to be away for the next month or so but if you get in touch with alison I'm sure there will be other opportunities to meet up, will PM you when I get back, all the best, karen x
