  1. we live very near peckham rye and go there every day but happy to travel x
  2. hi, I'd like to come along to these meet ups but not available that day, please keep me posted, Karen x
  3. is this true about the coil thingy? Since having a baby my PMT has gone MENTAL. Can someone who has had this done give me more info? Do I just request this from doc? I never really found a pill that suited me, is it different? thanks x
  4. black cabs, you just push your buggy into the back and put on brake, easiest thing ever, and, the only way I would travel if I had bottomless pockets. Do you have your own car seat? If not would have to request they send a mini cab with one, do so in advance as might not be easy x
  5. AAAAAGGGGHHHH, SOB, I NEED SLEEP, snuffle snuffle, where are the muffins??? Is mostly how I found the first 7/8 months. Really can't remember much of it at all, thankfully took lots of photos.
  6. did you post in the family room as well? Maybe more luck there x
  7. If you book 21 days in advance and online then a family room at premier inn is ?29. There are loads all over uk so find one near to some things you would like to do and use it as a base for some lovely uk days out!
  8. On the wider issue of neuroses, I have found that along with becoming a mum I have developed certain paranoia's that I simply did not have before. My particular fear is speeding cars, I have lost count of the times that I have walked along a pavement feeling horrified at the speed of cars coming towards me and thinking about what would happen if the car flipped or mounted the pavement. Having both a dog and baby, I also don't think it would be acceptable to curtail the activities of the (largely) responsible dog owners because of the irresponsible behaviour of a few. Yes, dogs can be dangerous but none of us can expect to rewrite social conventions/behaviours to accomodate our own fears.
  9. As there have been a couple of successful forum stalkings I would like to start one of my own. Does anyone know a lady called Michelle who is looking after her friends dog, he is called peanut, small and very fluffy with only one eye (peanut, not michelle). I chatted with her today at the cafe on peckham rye park, she currently works in something to do with furniture but is training as a yoga teacher. We had a very nice chat and I am hoping she will be my buddy, I am not in the slightest bit motivated by a desire for free yoga coaching!! thanks, Karen x
  10. how much does the tooth fairy leave now-a-days?
  11. if its teething you will probably also see some or all of the following, red cheeks, more dribble, reluctance to eat, nappy rash, runny tummy, clingyness/moodiness....won't last for ever though and a litttle calpol goes a loooong way, all the best x
  12. brilliant, what a fantastic overnight guest to have had x
  13. there are posters up looking for this parrot in linden grove, number etc can be seen on a tree outside dentisit ...hope he gets home safe x
  14. awww, it looks so happy on your shoulder, what a sweetie, well done you x
  15. yes, I avoided early morning activities for ages too as I always used to get a little nap out of him at that sort of time but the last month (ish) we have started foregoing the morning nap for a guaranteed two hour nap at one o'clock...its bliss!!
  16. today we went to little bubbles in herne hill, lady was lovely but we went to the 2year old class which I think was a bit too structured for AJ (at 15mths) so next week we are going to try the younger class, its at 9.45am if that fits in with nap times? Trial class is free, its a combination of music and movement (poss not enough music for AJ but will see next week) Come with if you fancy? Karen x
  17. go with bellendenbears suggestion...for the ten pounds I paid we had a stair gate supplied and fitted, socket covers, fire blanket fitted in kitchen, door stoppers, cupboaed locks and a safety harness/reins...its a real bargain and if you need things not covered in their budget they can tell you what is necessaey.
  18. at least it wasn't, 'sniffing the shoes', that would have been really disturbing!
