  2. hi, I get the same problem, using vitamins for just a few days clears it right up, just a multi vit from supermarket works fine...now I just need to remember to take them xx
  3. hi sam...yes, comes around quickly, sunday will be the big day! Send me a text...happy new year. Re cake: sainsburys don't do one and given that I am taking twenty people to lunch and having a photographer; expenses have already run wild...no funds left for a lovely designer cake...I see a trip to tesco in my future...now if only they'll grit the roads, hmmmm...
  4. thank you ladies x
  5. just a thought...do you have any friends who live in the catchment areas of the doctors surgeries that offer midwife cover? You could always 'move' temporarily. It would mean being at your friends house for your midwife appointments but thats got to beat going to kings. At least that way you could build a relationship with a team of midwives, one of whom would meet you at kings for the birth?
  6. it was a great thread, sounds like you have the name right though so can't help you there? happy new year xx
  7. anyone know where I can get an itng themed birthday cake? cheers x
  8. I have found the phenomenon of horror birth story telling so prevalant that I actually get embarrassed that it wasn't like that for me at all. I punish myself with the thought that if I ever have another child it will probably be horrific...best to quit while I'm ahead! R&A, lots of luck for a speedy birth x
  9. Or vouchers so they can go shopping themselves...also very popular with girls of that age x
  10. oh dear snowboarder...that is exactly the new year resolution I made to myself while lying in bed wide awake at three thirty this morning. After nearly 11 months of very broken sleep I have become a chronic insomniac and what little sleep I do get is filled with the most bizzare dreams. When you crack the sleep riddle next year then let me know how? x
  11. gosh, didn't give you much notice did they?
  12. asked in the east dulwich medical centre a couple of days ago, to see if I should get my son (11 mths) vaccinated. they told me they are currently only doing 'at risk' groups, which doesn't include children/babies.
  13. hi tallgirl, do you remember the details of resort etc in cuba? echo...let us know wht you finally decide on? x
  14. I'm so glad that I don't work and continue to feel that I'd rather be poor than spend time apart from baby. Also I know that you endure the same busy night time schedule that we go through here, sometimes I wouldn't be able to get out of bed if it wasn't for little mans cheeky morning grin! I certainly couldn't muster the energy for a job on those days, you know, something where you might actually have to have a shower! :))
  15. steve t, I like the thinking, won't work this time though as granny is paying for the holiday I think she would quite like to come :)) quickbrownfox...falas portuguese? Eu presciso alguem para fala comigo x
  16. tee hee x
  17. We play chase doggy chase. For this game you will need, one small dog, one small child and one ball. Convince both child and dog that the ball belongs to them (ie: show it to them) give the ball to the dog and sit back while child chases dog all over house trying to get ball while dog dodges under furniture, onto beds etc. So funny x
  18. any ideas what the weather/hotels/all inclusives would be like in cyprus at the time of year in question (jan) have been trawling through all inclusive deals and having looked at so many options my mind now boggles. Townley Green...the cliff face over looking the beach in los gigantes collapsed and killed two people, beach currently shut. Not a great way to spend your hols...nasty! Quickbrownfox, pastel would be pastry, bolo is cake in portuguese. Na pura on nunhead lane also sell them. Yuuummmmy x
  19. you could go to see russell the physio based above east dulwich medical centre, he helped me a LOT during pregnancy. There are also a number of support belts available (see link) but best to discuss with someone (ie: a physio) where you pain is so they can advise which area needs support. Don't wait for doc to send you via NHS as you will have had the baby by the time they sort it out! All the best x http://www.physioroom.com/catalog/Pregnancy/3208.html
  20. *wispers*... becareful not to have a laugh at the expense of the guy in the fabric shop, moos and her merry band of mates will bite your head off for it!
  21. FFS Moos, If, on yet another, night in alone with my ten month old baby, I want to amuse myself by reading some old threads on the forum, I jolly well will do. The fact you choose to criticise it just makes you look like a bah-humbug idiot.
