  1. I signed up to Twitter exclusively for the purpose of yelling at useless companies and praising their individual employees! I try to keep a mix of the two so it's not all whining. I would say it doesn't achieve much but it's a lot easier then putting pen to paper for the same effect...
  2. Unreal! Tweet @southernrailuk and @i_hate_southern Can I suggest the hashtag #gategate ?

Where would you eat out? Where meats (bdum tish) your standards?
  4. Watch your bikes tonight...just seen a very dodgy scooter rider riding up and down Heber Rd area, stopping to check out parked bikes. Couldn't see any facial features or anything - think he's riding a blue maxi scooter, last three letters of plate might be OXF...

A perfect match for the Daily Mail in that case. I'm surprised they haven't blamed the expense on carcinogenic Muslim Romanian health and safety officers on benefits.

People who concrete over their front garden are exchanging the possibility of parking in front of their own place for the certainty of parking in the garden and stopping other people from parking in front of their house.
  8. My sympathy is with you. It must be very upsetting.
  9. No MOT can be towed away by dvla. Abandoned cars can be towed away by council. The car hasn't moved in months. It's untaxed. Cars with the same stickers are in other places in Peckham and nunhead. Eff em.

  11. Richard Wilson at the Lordship (should have been the Actress, really).
  12. Just because it's opposed it doesn't mean it won't go through, Shirley?
  13. The registration of the "cash paid for scrap" Vauxhall Astra on East Dulwich Rd is Y137 NGY. It is insured but not MOTd per https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk So...it should be towable by the council or dvla, right?

  15. Remember that burglary in England is closely related to drug addiction. You can't arrest your way out of contagion - you can't cure addiction by sending people to substance abuse hothouses (jails). http://webarchive.nationalarchives.gov.uk/20110218135832/http:/rds.homeoffice.gov.uk/rds/pdfs04/r249.pdf
  16. London Bridge and Tower Bridge can be really bad on Sundays due to construction and/or Brick Lane crowds + lack of pRking restrictions. (depending on time of day).
  17. > Hi Mick Mac, > You think something happening once every 82 years > makes it a hotspot? Or to think of it another way: on a street with 82 (notional) houses, one of them will get burgled every year.
  18. We could at least avoid shovelling money into the accounts of foreign governments and transnational corporations for the privilege. (Southern is a subsidiary of a JV between a subsidiary of SNCF and Go-Ahead Group).
  19. I expect BoJo when he becomes Tory leader to take his London experience and make resumption of state operation of railways official Conservative policy rofllollol
