There seems to be a waste issue with Curry Cabin too: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,336529,1896456#msg-1896456
  2. You could try the Albrighton Centre: http://www.albrightoncommunitycentre.org/
  3. 4-3 win and a great crowd of 2,004. Still top of the table while second-placed Billericay only managed a draw, but still have five games in hand.
  4. And best of luck to Millwall!
  5. Another big game this afternoon at Champion Hill at 3pm ? top place Hamlet vs third place Folkestone Invicta. Come along and give your local club a cheer.
  6. If they're as consistently busy at 07.09, 07,30 and 07,50 as they are at 08.10, 08.20 and 08.30, it would suggest that the latter is the peak period as it's half as long.
  7. I know plenty of people who start work in town at 9.30 ? more than I do people who start at say 8.30.

I wonder when the 'rush hour' really starts for ED. I'd suggest it would be covered by the 08.10, 08.20, 08.30 and 08.51. So an 08.40 would probably be far more useful than the 07.40. The new Thameslink timetable starts in May.
  9. A great overview of the grimness of Lewisham's recent developments. Peckham take note. https://www.architectural-review.com/rethink/lewisham-the-notopian-future-of-london/10015443.article
  10. There's CCTV higher up Green Dale by the estate and lower down by the footpath to DHFC/Sainsburys, so if they had a van it should be traceable. Let's hope the council pursue it and fine them.

Full boarding from ?8,100 to ?10,600 per term") and then Oxford University, so he might not have been born into privilege but had it thrust upon him pretty early on.
  12. Blackbirds less so, but certainly robins ? both males and females sing all year round and often through the night. Also noticeable since the days are growing longer are the louder and more repetitive great tits:
  13. Big game at 3pm this afternoon vs fellow high-fliers Leiston. A chance for Hamlet to regain top spot. Come along and support your local club.
  14. Big cheese queue at the Cheese Block this morning. Meant to take a snap to enrage Louisa...
  15. Flock of at least 40 redwings flying eastwards over ED station this morning at 8.20. Saw them again when the train pulled into Peckham Rye :-)
  16. There'll still be plenty of 'natural' food for them out there in terms of seeds, nuts and berries. Wait for the next cold snap and I'm sure you'll see more of them :-)
  17. They'll be extending the all-night service next year ? including the Overground line from Highbury and Islington / Dalston Junction to Clapham Junction via Denmark Hill, which will be very useful.
  18. Could be redwings or fieldfares, our thrushy winter visitors from Scandinavia which usually travel around in flocks.

No, a great spot for tourists to stay. Hotel prices in central London are ridiculous, so why not save yourself a small fortune and stay a bit further out? (We did that last time we went to New York and stayed in Bed-Stuy in Brooklyn ? 25 mins or so to central Manhattan.) And many of those people want somewhere a bit more 'upmarket' than just the basic backpackers' hostel. > ...yet in another thread everyone (Except Me) > saying what Shite Transport links we have here in > E.D. Er, and me :-) > DulwichFox
  20. Very good to hear Southwark Council leader Peter John give a message of support at half time. It's easy to be cynical and say that the council's 'support' hasn't amounted to anything concrete yet, but we don't know what's been done behind the scenes ? and the council aren't obliged to say anything at all in public.
  21. I would expect lawyers are being consulted...
  22. Breaking news: the football club has just signed ? 'under duress' - a new licence with the parasitic property developers, so the club won't be locked out of the ground and tomorrow afternoon's home game against Brightlingsea will go ahead. It would be brilliant to fill the ground to show the evil scumsuckers how much the club means to people locally. Clearly the council and the Isthmian League have been very supportive of the club during this outrageous episode.
  23. More affordable, then. Yay!
  24. Property developers Meadow Residential are doing all they can to put Dulwich Hamlet out of business and are threatening to lock the club out of the ground before tomorrow?s home match. Their ugly, bloodsucking, predatory behaviour must be resisted. Watch this space for what you can do to help the club. In the meanwhile, there?s this happening this afternoon (from urban75): ?Short notice demo going down. 3 - 6pm outside Meadows offices First Floor, 50 Great Marlborough Street, London, W1F 7JS Bring banners and noisy stuff?
