More buses on Route P13 from 22nd March
Callie replied to Bic Basher's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
If you can get the live bus arrivals on your phone or laptop, it's a godsend. You know exactly when the bus is coming. -
No prebook appointments at DMC until end of March

Yes all surgeries give priority to babies I should imagine, & there are quite a few surgeries in the area but none seem to have as many problems with appointments as DMC. Still not sure what the midwives doing home visits has got to do with anyone not being able to get an appointment with the GP. -

I don't think either that the appointment's are in short supply because they are all swallowed up by mass producing women of ED lol -
It looks ghastly. I so wish the garden centre was still there. Hope they get a decent shop up soon.

Why can't people post photos right way up? All they have to do is rotate the ruddy thing before posting! So sick of opening a photo to find bed upside down, wardrobe on its side etc. Idiots!

There is a doggie poo bag it & bin it sign further up my road on a lamp post but there is no bin so someone left a bag full on someone's garden wall opposite the sign. What's the point of a sign if there's no bin.

If they didn't come yesterday (sat) you need to fill in the form on southwark website re missed collection & they will come collect within the next couple of days. I've done this before myself a few times in the past. You shouldn't have to wait till the next collection day if they've not been. > > Thanks.

For years I used to think the hair was real & that it got ripped out of someone's head in a fight until I realised it was extensions.

Just wondered is anyone else was getting it done & what problems if any they were coming up against. My old gas meter is on the wall in my hall in an enclosed cupboard thingy. When the men came to have a look, they told me it might be a problem, that they might not be able to connect the new pipes to the existing meter depending on how many bends there are in the existing pipework - they said the most they could manage is probably 3 bends & if I have more than this, they will have to put an outdoor meter next to my front door on the outside which I really do not want & if that wasn't all, they would have to install new exposed pipes in my hall right next to the old enclosed ones, which doesn't make any sense & look a right eyesore. I am sure there is a way round but I don't know what it is or how to go about it. Any views or help much appreciated.

Where has the Electrical shop cafe gone???
Callie replied to Frankie G's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Frankie G Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hello can anyone enlighten me why the lovely cafe > on Peckham rye, I think it was the old electrical > shop, shut down??? Thanks No one really knows (do they?) They just mysteriously packed up & cleared out. There was a small note on the railings saying something like they were closed due to 'electrical' problems (ha ha, yeh right!?)Very strange. Then next thing we know there was a to let sign up lol -
I'm wondering whether a cyclist lane on the corner of Barry Rd /P. Rye would solve the problem, make it safer for cyclists & pedestrians alike.
