  3. http://www.fanschedule.com/2014-fifa-world-cup you can enter your predictions here...
  4. England are unlikely to get out of their group. That's because they have to outperform at least one team ranked above them in the world just to finish second in the group and get into the last 16. Has any other team ranked in the world's top 16 been drawn with two teams ranked above them in the same group (I don't think so) England have been dealt a raw deal I reckon.
  5. StraferJack Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > People read way to much into pre tournament friendlies It will be alright on the night SJ ? Well it depends on what you think the purpose is of these matches. Keep possession but move the ball quickly seems to be the message. My problem with this England team and every other England team in the Gerrard Lampard era is it can't win the ball in midfield and neither can it retain possession in midfield against good teams. Hence England only pick up new possession when the opposition move breaks down! That means the opposition dictate when they are ready to give the ball up. Hence if England go behind against good opposition they are buggered. Far too many forward thinking midfield players and even now add Johnson as a forward thinking defensive player who will be exploited. None of these players are any good when you don't have the ball and I expect England to spend a long time without the ball. Same old sane old. You can pass the ball around all you like in deep positions, the opposition won't care. I hope I'm wrong, it might be different this time. England needs a new hero to pop up over the next few weeks. I don't think it will be Rooney, Gerrard or Lampard. Good luck.
  6. I do indeed Declan. Great Derby with Australia justifying the hype and Kingston Hill looked very good too.

And have added True Story as it won the Dante. Hopefully King Kieran can improve on his performances yesterday....
  8. Disaster. Outclassed. Killed my day out at Epsom. Kieran was told not to push it if it wasn't handling the ground/undulations and so it turned out. Trainer says it needs rain.

  11. Don't do it PW. Instead learn to put it to one side when in company.

It's rare for horses to win more than their cost, most lose money and ST I think cost 16k so it is massively out performing.
  15. SCSB. It's wonderful that you have arranged to be alerted when I post. I have never felt to popular. You can follow me on Twitter too if you want.

I can understand a Spurs fan thinking in such a parochial manner Jah but we are a European club and think outside our own league occasionally.
  17. Ok I have never heard of Ronny Deila who is now fav for the Celtic job. Who he ?
  18. Good for you. I don't think it helps this forum to call someone a c**t and I don't think it helps the poster. If he wants to keep doing it then good luck to him but I really don't want to read it.
  19. Indeed. There is nothing in it obviously but I just don't see the point of PDs post. It potentially offends other people on this forum 1 and 2 there is is not really any such thing as a local forum it's all out there, so why bother. We all think people are whatever they may be but we generally keep these views to ourselves both off and on line (and I mean that most sincerely folks)
  20. My "is that really necessary" comment was intended as a subtle way of saying imo it's not very wise to make statements like that. Nothing can really be gained by calling someone a c??t on the net. What's the point.

I really couldn't be bothered. Btw. Keane has just gone from 3/1 on to 7/1 on with Paddy power for the Celtic job. Looks like he is the favoured candidate. Ps. Apparently he dodged a scheduled Irish press conference today so speculation on the increase.

Goodrich is heavily oversubscribed and it's stock is defo on the rise.

  24. Rory Rors again to a 63...
  25. Personally I think the jury is out on Roy Keane - he failed at Ipswich but got a promotion at Sunderland. I'm not sure I want him but I'd prefer him to Coyle who turned it down before. Other more ambitious targets are also likely to say no. In the 1980s Celtic were finishing 4th and 5th in Scotland - the job has to be done and done well. Only fools take success for granted. Keane's bumpy ride Sept 2006: Inspires Sunderland to a 2-1 win over Derby in his first game as manager. March 2007: Leaves three players behind when they are late for team bus to Barnsley. April 2007: Carlo Edwards scores a great winner over Burnley to put Keane on course for promotion and title. April 2008: Premier League survival ensured with a 3-2 win over Middlesbrough. Oct 2008: Sunderland fans dance in thestreet as they beat Newcastle for the first time in 25 years. Nov 2008: Keane says he may quit after abject 4-1 defeat by Bolton. He walks away four days later.
