It appears to me that houses are taking longer to go under offer than they were perhaps in Q1 this year/H2 last year. There is definitely a hint of the market finally slowing down.

Keane is specifically said to be in the running for the assistant post if Van Gaal is given the permanent role, reported by Ladyman, suggesting the Dutchman may not bother if he isn't given full control to choose his staff.

Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Mick Mac. Is there no beginning to your knowledge > of football? Indeed not. I know all Liverpool fans adore Gerrard etc and he is a very good player but I have been watching him closely when the pressure is on and I don't see that he has led like the experienced player he is. I'm not talking post match huddles. In terms of specifics he has gone missing when teams have come back at Liverpool - with 10 mins to go against Norwich he was hacking the ball up the field out of his own penalty box. That worried me a lot - no cool head there - the writing was on the wall. Throughout his career ,he has been a great distributor and has a fantastic long shot. He has been brilliant scoring penalties under pressure in recent games. But there is something missing and this was a very big opportunity for him. I wanted him to win it and he might still, but he has fallen short in the last few matches.

Louise. You are mistaken if you think Gerrards recent performances showed backbone. His penalty goals have shown great nerve but aside from that he has not shown leadership when pool have been under pressure from Sunderland, Norwich, City and again today.

Liverpool have risen to every challenge since Christmas, incl Arsenal, United, City and all the others. It had to come to an end. There may yet be another twist.

And how much did Liverpool miss Henderson today. A lot maybe.
-
Chelsea on the other hand. Catenaccio bores. :)

I have felt for years that Gerrard is overrated and today I felt that he didn't show up. I questioned his performance recently against Sunderland when they came back at Liverpool and I think he could have done more today Liverpools big players didn't turn up with Coutino being the exception. Edited to add Stirling and Skirtel were also up for it

Time for Gerrard to stand up. And be counted.

The more yuppie trappings the better I say. Especially if it means glamorous people sunning themselves outside looking cool, eating/drinking whatever overpriced pizza replacement comes around. I love all that. -

Celtic have an attacking tradition too - so no thanks.

These things tend to be written/agreed between the two teams of lawyers dealing with the termination to ensure there is no damage to reputations of any party.

Ha - Hadn't thought of that possibility. Giggs will be presented to the press sitting on Sir Alex's knee with SAF's hand up his backside. "Just move your mouth son, I'll do the talking."

Trying to buy a house in this area is near impossible

StraferJack Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > ". These figs make no sense to investors " > > what about the asset price once the mortgage is > payed off? IMO best way to do buy to let is interest only - all interest is tax deductible and as the capital is not reducing then your tax deduction does not decrease over time. As regards Interest rates rising - then yes you can have a cash flow loss - but the tax loss on one property is set off against any profit you may have on another property, or failing that carried forward until a profit arises, which it will do eventually when rents increase over time. If it's a long term investment, it should work, eventually. -
Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Manchester United fans everywhere are shitting > themselves today after the club announces that > "Sir Alex Ferguson will play a key role in > choosing David Moyes' replacement as manager". That narrows it down to someone 1) Scottish, 2) who has never managed a big club and 3) never won anything but 4) could potentially have hair, with a hint of ginger. Got it: It's Moyes again.
