That's part of the fun. A bit tongue in cheek Jah of course. But nevertheless, when Liverpool drop points as i'm sure they will, it's gonna hurt their fans more than it's done for a few years. There will be a lot of arms round shoulders needed across the land.

Just get it done James. Lordship Lane pavements are just poor and any decent eating area in London has had a pavement revamp. It will be a little pain for lots of gain for the small businesses.
  3. Tonight Liverpool reminded me of Newcastle under Keegan, when they had it to lose but the pressure from the fans and media was such that David Batty and co in midfield for the last few games struggled to string more than a handful of passes together and failed miserably in the run in. Never underestimate the pressure of not having won the title for a long time and the effect it has on a club. If I'm honest it scared me tonight. The sooner they play Spurs the better as they might step up. Otta and Jah should not watch this together. It's just too important.
  4. Like most horses I'm interested in RD, it has yet to win a race. But that means it can still target maidens and Longchamp on 14 April is it's likely first race. Would be great to run on the same turf as all those Arc winners.
  5. Trainers pre season blog today.... Looking ahead to the turf season we have exciting horses such as old favourite Tariq Too to look forward to, plus the potentially high class Silver Treasure who was Listed placed last season and unknown quantities such as D'Arcy Indiana who could be a dark horse thio She seems keen on Silver Treasure. Goose bumps.
  6. YNWA. North of the border title secured. Now for south of the border.
  7. I'd say you might need a specialist broker for the self employed, if such a thing exists, surely it must do. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=mortgage+broker+for+self+employed&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-GB:IE-Address&ie=&oe=&gfe_rd=cr&ei=SMgxU7mCAoXY8gfx6ICwAQ
  8. What that man said! Cmon United.
  9. Soundcloud is fab too, and its getting better, might rival Spotify some day if it goes "commercial" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JiVzMFo6TQ

  11. Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The issue isn't whether it's cheap for a custom > design. How does the cost compare to a standard > double-decker or bendy bus? I don't think that is the relevant question Jeremy. I think we should have some cutting edge design for the public irrespective of how cheap another boring bus option might be. Also its good for the image of the city and tourists also like it. The point is that the cutting edge option is sought and bought at an appropriate price for that product. Even the public purse is allowed a luxury item now and again.
  12. The Routemasters are built in Ballymena I believe. My hometown. If they were made elsewhere in the UK i guess they would be more expensive. And they are a large bit of kit so the 300k does not surprise me. They look state of the art design, really good, curved tinted glass is not cheap. Shame if the seats are not comfortable as it's the passenger that matters really. You can't pay for the design and scrimp on the comfort element.
  13. Ask my mate Paddy. He knows loads about potatoes.

  17. Using Spurs as a benchmark you have to agree Arsenal and Wenger have achieved. However as major London clubs there is perhaps an argument that both should be doing better. As a very general rule the top clubs in Europe come from the cities that are the financial hubs of those countries, Madrid, Munich, Paris. it's been rare over the last 25 years for London to have a top club. Arsenal have occasionally hit the heights of European finals but not enough in my opinion and Arsene's stadium excuse is running thin. Not that he references that himself, but Spurs have struggled to find the right formula altogether.
  18. Double post....
  19. PD is very much in the half full camp.
  20. Manchester United are to be stripped of all 13 Premier League titles won since 1992 after it was found they were won by Sir Alex Ferguson, not the club, as previously presumed. The Red Devils had laid claim to a spectacular run of success from the early 1990s, which helped them overhaul Liverpool's record of 18 league titles, but it has now come to light that it was their former manager who was responsible for the trophy haul. "Our suspicions were aroused when we received a tip off that United wouldn't have won the 2013 title without Ferguson in charge," said Premier League spokesperson, Anne Field. "We looked back at Premier League title races in 1997, 2003 and 2011, and found that Manchester United had somehow finished first against the odds in each of those years, but it wasn't until recent evidence came to light that we realised just how influential he was. "It had previously been assumed that Manchester United had some kind of winning 'DNA' that was responsible for their run of titles. "However, this theory has been disproved by something scientists have labelled 'The Moyes Effect', which describes how success ? or rather, a lack of it ? can be attributed to whoever is?Manchester United manager. Field contrasted The Moyes Effect with Liverpool's dominant era, in which the club won league titles under a succession of managers, including Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish. "Liverpool's run of titles?was sustained through several managerial changes, which was known as 'The Boot Room Effect'," said Field. "It's in the Liverpool DNA.?I mean, how else do you explain a team containing Djimi Traore coming back from 3-0 down to win a Champions League final?" Stripping United of the 13 titles won by Ferguson puts the Red Devils level with Aston Villa and behind Everton in the roll of honour, causing shock among people who had hadn't realised football existed before 1992.
  21. Having read the OP, he seems to be a "Nice Chap", a "Gentleman", "a bit short" and a "big man", with a finger. I can just picture him.
  22. Robert Poste's Child Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm clearly no expert but when I did a nervous > flyer course a few years back they said that for > safety purposes they're always required to carry > more fuel than they need. Should nervous flyers be spending time thinking about missing aeroplanes and posting on missing aeroplane blogs?
  23. Well done Declan. Also well done Ireland. We have a good team with new players but O Driscoll always had a bit of magic. Who knows what the future brings.
  24. Today, Aberdeen won their second trophy of the post Alex Ferguson era.
  25. He is "popular" with my wife. Used to have his picture on her wall. Apparently Los Paciminos do country / Mexican. No love of the common people.
