  1. Sorry to hear this James. I think you know that anyway. I'm getting a burglar alarm for Christmas, as I live "relatively" close.
  2. "Dear" Quids. The Football Focus thread is a poor and disjointed manner in which to discuss any football related topic such that any matter is never discussed with any cohesion, before disappearing amongst all of the other mish mash of comments If I/we want to ringfence a particular football issue then we should and if it does not have legs it will quickly die. I expect the Man United issue to have longevity of interest although I obviously don't expect the same from the Roy Keane thread. Whilst the lounge is an inactive as it is currently, I'll continue. That's what the Lounge is there for. Mick PS: I know I am dear to you - but we have moved on from addressing each other in letter format posts on this forum a few years back. PPS. FECK OFF ;-)

  4. And Viera comes across as a gentleman. Lifted the last Arsenal trophy in 2005. Tells a story.
  5. Love Roy Keane. Best manager you ever played for. Brian Clough, without a doubt. Best MU team, based on players you played with. No Scoles and no Giggs. On Giggs, "just because you have a great career doesnt mean you are a great player". Ronaldo gets the left wing spot. Ince gets the midfield spot alongside Keano. Greatest moment at Man United. Being invited to play for the club.

    Yes. A new thread.
  7. Some day when Scotland, Wales and England too have deserted the Union, only Northern Ireland will live on. And the anthem will remain unchanged. GSTQ.
  8. I can't be there Michael but wanted to wish you and all the Curry Clubbers a happy Christmas curry meet. Have a good one.
  9. It wasn't really intended as a gloating vehicle BR but that's up to you I guess. Just thought it was a current question lots of people might be interested in discussing.
  10. Peckhamrye Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I hate to spoil the fun but there are 3 items on > the Lobster Burger menu - Lobster, Burger and a > Lobster roll.... Indeed. But why anyone would want to put lobster in a burger bap is beyond me.
  11. Malumbu. You say they will come good again but they haven't gone bad yet, hence the thread topic. Maybe in 5 years time we can do a thread on the return of MU glory days.
  12. As with post Busby it's possible for a club to fall from grace even a rich club. Nothing is permanent. Personally I like Man United more than many but I think they have made a very ill considered appointment in Moyes. Once you lose the momentum it can be hard to get it back. Fergie could do it but he was special.
  13. And for what reason?
  14. As Tommy Doherty used to say. They'll be home before the postcards.
  15. StraferJack Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Imagine 20 lairy England fans hitting a pub in new > Ross post group qualification ! Memories of my stag weekend in Donegal in 2000, about 15 England fans cheering on Shearer to beat Germany, in a pub in Donegal Town. No-one batted an eyelid, God Save the Queen an all. All good natured of course.
  16. Was in a London hotel bar last night and a group of middle aged white south Africans sitting next to us didn't appear to be big Mandela fans but I guess that was part of the problem he was working to solve.
  17. Great news James. I'm sure there will be lots of demand. An East Dulwich school for ED people would be great, rather than what we have at the minute which is a raft of schools that border Peckham, Herne Hill etc, and really ED is an oasis in the middle with no state secondary schools. In this respect the hospital site would be perfect. Good luck.
  18. A good man has died.

  20. Its was the end as soon as they appointed a manager who had never won anything. Surely a PLC should have had a proper recruitment policy instead of.......lets just ask Alex what he thinks. Edited to say - RD, this thread was not intended for you in particular, just intended to be a general conversation piece, I do think its a real possibility though that MU may struggle to match recent glories.
  21. Speaking to a MU fan last night who believes it could all be over for Manchester United. Is another 20 years of hurt upon the horizon.
  22. Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > So how was it cooked this ?20 lobster. Was it the > 70s favourite lobster thermidore? Grilled or steamed were the options offered. edit. Sliced longways
  23. I just had a massive panic attack that this thread might have disappeared. Phew.

Guess what - you queue for the ?20 lobster, not the ?20 burger. The burger is probably there for anyone who doesn't want lobster but almost everyone seemed to be on lobster.
  25. I think its very important to ensure the kids are occupied with various food options whilst you are out for lunch - ordering food at the right time so that they are not being made to wait is important - and when their meal is over they get restless - then its time to pay the bill and leave. I think caf? rouge is underrated and good for children as its does reasonably good kids food options, plus desert and provides colouring etc to keep them focussed on something. Gails bakery does babychinos for 50p and they like those. I find keep them interested and you won't have a problem.
