  1. 3 signings for Celtic. All internationals. One more maybe ? Neil Lennon is hoping to make one more signing for his Champions League squad. As the transfer window closed at midnight the Celtic website announced the signings of defender Efe Ambrose from FC Ashdod, Getafe striker Miku and goalkeeper Lubos Kamenar. Interestingly the club statement added: ?And the club are also looking to bring in another striker, which they are hoping to do ahead of Monday's UEFA Champions League deadline.? Clubs are entitled to sign free agents at anytime during the season with Celtic signing Andre Blackman outwith the transfer window last season. By narrowing the field down to a striker the name of Michael Owen is the most obvious high profile striker without a club.

Certainly if you want to make an absolute fortune catering for families and children, then follow the Herne. If you want a pub with no daytime customers then ban children. Have a look around to see what your customer base may be.
  3. Sorry Declan.
  4. Declan. It's a toilet. Keep up.

  7. Bugger. Those pesky tenants. Just can't get them out.
  8. Paddy Power are doing a good slant on the Owen to West Ham rumour. They say he's needed as a jockey for Andy Carroll. Picture supplied on paddypower.com

(Well you might not have a mortgage but you know what I mean)
  10. A washing machine is the new name for a bath Declan.

  12. Celtic look like getting maybe 3 new players today. No Del Piero though, he preferred Bondi Beach to the bonnie Clyde.

In my case I got abuse for not asking first before taking the photo. As my wife proved with Michael Owen, if you do ask they say no. Best to take the photo and if they get antsy, just run away. Michael Owen would not catch anyone these days.
  14. Michael Owens future lies on the gallops. I was a Newmarket once about 10 years ago at a quiet meeting and he came down to the rails behind us to watch a race. My wife was quite excited and asked politely if she could take his photo, he said no.
  15. He's probably over pricing himself, even on a pay as you play basis. Man United got very little from him. He should drop down a division. He's a player I genuinely feel sorry for. Goal against Argentina and a double in the cup final were probably career highlights in a career that promised so much more.
  16. Liverpool have tough euro draw with Udinese and Huddinks Russian team.
  17. Let's do that. I liked makepeace.

There is not a lot of interesting football debate on here tbh. When there is we all do our best to "step up".

It's a bit of fun Otta. Don't stir it up to make it more than it is. .
  21. Youre right. He wasn't.
  22. Insulting post removed. Eek.
  23. Show me your European Cups Parkdrive... It did look like you might be about to win one once to be fair, until Henrik came off the bench to break Arsenal hearts.
  24. We can't help who is in our league I guess. We have thin resources in European terms, that's for sure. Lennon gets little money to spend, the club is very conservative since Fergus McCann saved the club. His stated policy of buying players young, cultivating them and selling them on at a profit, is working well so far. He has amassed some gems in Izaguirre and Wanyama, coupled with James Forrest from the youth set up. Certainly Lennon adds a lot to the club and the team. He is popular with the players and management. The benchmark will be Europa League. I guess that is where we are at, and to get that you need to finish 3rd in your CL group. If they achieve that then they will be in CL again next year, with a better coefficient hopefully and you build gradually.
  25. I think so yes. I was confident he could do a good job - I think your point was that whilst you admired my optimism, you feared it could all end in tears.
