  1. It sounds to me like it was a reconciliation brokered by the top people at City. It does not do the club any favours from a PR perspective or a financial perspective to have this dispute prolonged further. I think Mancini was told to accept Tevez back subject to a full and public apology. I think without intervention from above Mancini and Tevez would have quite happily never spoken again. But then they don't control the club.
  2. I should be ok for weds. Thanks.
  3. Two men came into a bar, eating sandwiches. Barman says " Sorry you can't eat your own food in here guys " So they swapped sandwiches. Boom boom.
  4. The hero of Northern Irish comedy passes away. It's sad to say it but he helped us through the Troubles. It's a cracker.
  5. ?15 seems pretty cheap to me.
  6. Just checked back and put the Burtonport antepost bet on in August! It's now third fav for.the Gold Cup next month. Good to see Jimmy Nesbitts horse Riverside Theatre winning on Saturday. It's favorite for one of the top Cheltenham races.
  7. Administrators at ibrox say payments to their top earners will continue. None of the referees in question were available for comment. [That was sent to me by my Rangers friend so don't shout at me :))]
  8. Eh SCSB. I'm familiar with EBTs and like any other trust yes they are legal. Paying your players huge amounts of money without deducting tax is illegal.
  9. I'm going Friday night but could only get tickets for 1030pm so will be feeling very "arty" by then.

Early 2010 post here. But I have backed Burtonport for Gold Cup and National a few months ago. Not sure why but he is now a considered outsider for both after chasing Long Run home yesterday albeit with 10 lbs help. Have >60-1 on both so look forward to whichever he takes part in.

Celtic immediately messed up again > but I think its a good time to back United. The Celtic bet is looking good now. Did discuss this with Quids shortly after putting the money on and the potential 10 points on possible administration was a little bonus in my thinking that has materialised. But basically I felt despite the 12 point disadvantage, that Celtic were the better team. So it proved.

It means.he will be out of his job at the end of the season after todays result. happy to do double or quits that Wenger does not start next season as Arsenal manager.

Rangers were effectively using the government's money to fund player acquisitions and salaries over the last ten years. Rangers fans then suggest if Celtic win the title this year it will be tarnished. Neil Lennon suggested they turn the spotlight on themselves.
  16. I didn't say he'd be sacked.
  17. Sunderland lead Arsenal. I reckon Wenger has 20 mins to save his job. It really could be the end if the line if they go out of the FA cup tonight. Time for Arsenals star players to raise their game. Edited to say its just gone 2-0. Could be the end.
  18. red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm not sure SJ, my hunch is that 6/4 is more > instantly comparable to 7/4 & 5/4...Quids, Mick > Mac, any thoughts? I think it allows bookies to show odds moving 5/4 to 6/4 to 7/4 in smaller increments with a consistent denominator.
  19. If you had this in the Lounge it could run for 10 pages. Short answer is Goodrich should be fine though.
  20. And neither of them pay tax.
  21. I know. Great isn't it.
  22. SCSB shows signs of stress. No surprise there. PGC shows signs of being the nice person that I'm sure she is. Class is permanent. Rangers will be back somehow. Celtic came through near collapse and I'm sure Rangers will come back too. As someone who only really started supporting Celtic when they were down and out, the slow rise to recovery is the best feeling in football.
  23. Rangers have been deducted ten points by the Scottish Premier League after an administrator was appointed at the Court of Session. The club will also be prevented from registering any new players until they exit administration, except in the case where an emergency goalkeeper is required. Court proceedings in Edinburgh on Tuesday resulted in the appointment of Duff and Phelps as administrator. Rangers? ten point deduction applies immediately and will see their tally reduced to 51, leaving them in second spot. Ally McCoist?s side would be 14 points adrift of Celtic and nine points ahead of third placed Motherwell, who have a game in hand. Rangers have 12 SPL fixtures left to fulfil this season. If the club are still in administration at the start of the 2012/13 season, they will start the campaign on minus ten points. SPL rules forbid the club from registering any new players from this point forward. Rangers, if required, could appeal to the league to appoint an emergency goalkeeper, if they can prove one is required due to injury or illness.
  24. Edited so not to overload our English footie friends with too much info.
  25. We had this after the mad cow / foot mouth saga. Played England in November I think.
