The only trouble with the old Highbury was the football was sh1t. :)

  5. ok, only a day to go and I'm not quite going to get there. However this morning I was a new low of 12 stone 13.4 lbs so have broken the 13 stone barrier. Will take stock now and decide if I'm going to go for the 12.7 in March - but you'd hardly see me if I was 12.7 so I'm having to think about that. I'm rewarding myself with a big weekend watching rugby and drinking beer now. :)
  6. Although I started with my favourite cheap bottle recommendation - I recently had a special occasion wine: Chorley les Beaune Cave de Bruno ?25 Beaune is my new favourite region. I was all Bordeaux for a few years especially with read meat, but I'm moving towards burgundy now in my old age. And on Christmas day I had a bottle of Morey St Denis - Vielles Vignes Cave be Bruno ( I think although cant really recall where I bought it) about ?30 Not perfect for turkey perhaps but I don't often drink white wine

  8. But he's a bit fat and a bit Irish.
  9. Well I expect you will be there as last time you said you would and you weren't.
  10. Ok this is an original thread isn't it .... ? Hope so. It's for people to recommend wine that can be bought locally. You can recommend a wine either as 1) Decent drinkable good value wine and where to find it, or 2) Great wine for a special occasion, doesn't have to be a lot of money, just a special occasion wine for you State 1) name and region of wine 2) where bought (preferably in ED but not compulsory) 3) price per bottle I'll start: Best value wine in ED for me is (I'm an old world man) 1) Piccini Chianti (a bright orange label) 2) Sainsbury Dulwich 3) About ?7 You can add some description of the wine and what it goes with if you want but I'm not very good at describing my tastes so I'll pass. Thanks.

  12. Rory is back in town. Honda classic starts tomorrow. I'm afraid he's not much more than 4/1. Victim of his own success and a bit of bookie over caution. I've ignored all of that and backed him anyway.
  13. AM had a few spats as Declan, Narnia and AM so there is form. I think he took things to heart, probably should have just told a few people where to go. :)

Outside now.
  18. Huummmpf. The rich get richer. :0
  19. It always amazes me when people get into personal disputes on the forum. Surely we all know by now that after a couple of posts the best thing to do is move on. Come back Declan/Narnia/AM. The Irish need your support.
