  1. Flying Pig was excellent last night and recommended for further fixtures. Blyth Tavern forest hill for the Irish games is good too. In fact, I was there today.
  2. It (feck) works for fuck purposes Declan.

  4. That's a lawyer talking I'd guess.

I don't think the church have earned that right RPC. This action by the bishop is much too late and in reaction to the backlash, that they played a role in creating by allowing people to openly grieve for who they thought was a wholly good man without giving the relevant information about the reason behind his death. It's the fact that they choose the route of silence and cover up that social media has been the forum for debate. That's their own fault.
  6. I was in Veer Zara last night post rugby. my chicken karahi was fantastic. Others seemed happy too. Very quiet in there though. 3101.

  8. Otta - I see you are well on the way to being the first forumite to have posted >10k times under more than one name. Only another 1k Otta posts to go.
  9. The first one was a Harry Enfield reference to lighten the mood. The next one, I was watching my favourite film Sideways (about wine and best viewed drinking wine) and the napa valley got a mention. Hope that clears that one up for you RPC.
  10. And you go for the nappy valley? I didn't read the article. You probably guessed.
  11. Ooh close call for Liverpool. The Mrs was out tonight so it was my TV. Good game.

"Oooh young man....." I think this debate was serious for long enough.
  13. I've been turned away a few times.

  15. I'm afraid that this reaction is typical of a religious institution. Its all about protecting the brand. And little thought about the congregation (customer).

Child no 1 safely delivered in 2003, a whiskey in the very old Magdela. Child no 3 in 2009, mother in law babysitting child 1 and 2 and im back at the same bar, now the Magnolia with another whiskey. I thought I deserved it. Even if no-one else did. It's a new dad thing.
  17. Not sure this thread has had the desired effect Louisa....
  18. Foxy is man enough to deal with these guys. He eats vindaloo you know. More of a man than I am anyway.

In this particular case the breach of trust is significant. He could easily have resigned from his post and taken himself out of a position of trust if he feared he was attracted to child abuse images before being approached by police but (according to earlier posts) he only did it when police became involved.
  20. And that's a very good description of how a breach of trust makes people feel.
  21. Maybe a few catholic priests might have jumped off a cliff on reflecting on their gross actions towards children in their care. I have little sympathy for anyone in a position of trust with children, who chooses to act inappropriately on whatever level. Especially if they have religion in their favour such that parents and guardians place outright trust in them by reason of their position.
  22. Game on PGC. Premiership v championship.
