That was actually my intended joke..... Glad to see it wasn't too obvious.

I wouldn't worry Otta. England matches are just to keep players in shape in the gaps between club matches.

Oh man. Just heard Ireland also won tonight.

Hilarious. You must have been the first to think that. You can approach Fifa if there are relevant circumstances for the delay. I'm fine with Fifas decision either way. I feel for the guy as he was actually at Celtic early evening and keen to sign not having had a game at City in a year but his transfer was held up probably because the Scopovic transfer was back on.

STV understands that Celtic have now contacted the SPFL and gained approval for the player to be registered for domestic competition if all the formalities are completed with FIFA, who govern all international transfers. The Glasgow club have now asked the Scottish FA to approach FIFA on their behalf to have the transfer fully approved.

For once, just have a bit of a shout - get it all out, speak without thinking. Will do you good.

So we could afford it but we > haven't. Let's see where teams sit at season end > eh? You don't have to - the Arsenal model has already failed for 8 seasons - that's prob what PD means by having had enough. Sometimes SJ I think you should try getting really pissed off about your teams lack of achievement and show us you are a real fan.

Ossie had to stand by his car as he couldn't see over the steering wheel.

From nout to two strikers - signed in 30 minutes of the deadline...."Things looked touch and go earlier today but Celtic pulled a late double swoop to sign John Guidetti on loan from Manchester City, and Stefan Scepovic on a four year deal from Sporting Gijon. Guidetti has been a Celtic transfer rumour since his 20 goals in 23 games stint at Feyenoord as a teenager in 2011-12. Now he?s on board, I?m holding out for news of Georgi Kinkladze. Stefan Scepovic could have played his hand better over the last 24 hours; footballers are seldom accused of over-intellectualising their plans. Late interest from La Liga looked to have dealt Celtic a body-blow, but he?s ours now, and I?m pleased we got someone who was wanted by Spanish scouts." Edited to add that we also managed to hold on to Virgil van Dyke on the day he was called up to the Dutch squad, despite lots of EPL interest. It's nice to see the club being big enough to tell a player he is going nowhere.

MOTD. Looked like Henderson pulling the strings for Liverpool. If he hadn't been sent off three games from the end of last season, who knows. Lots of good performances, it seems Brendans boys look decent again this year. Spurs had their opportunities but nowhere near the attacking riches that Liverpool have and it showed.

I have a policy of not doing each way Declan.

Personally Im not sure I like the concept of one charity benefiting by such a large margin through what Forbes refer to as hitting a sweetspot. Moat people only have a certain amount of charitable cash per annum. And im glad it's now being used as a vehicle to benefit a wider range of causes.

Bad luck AM. Glad you didn't pass that one on. !

Bloody annoying. That whole > area is a bit of a pickle. Its not about a repair James - the whole of the north end of Lordship Lane needs a complete pavement overhaul and upgrade which many other areas have been fortunate enough to benefit from. Areas around Brockwell Park and Dulwich Park would be examples of good paving overhauls. With more and more bars/eateries having outside seating etc it needs to look much nicer and a smooth consistent product from shopfront to roadside from Franklins to EDT would be good. I'm holding my breath.

Ironically my IBC donation was in aid of the Red Cross. Most people now are not doing an ALS donation but choosing their own charity so I don't know why the big focus is on ALS anymore. As for people pooh poohing it and doing neither an IBC or a donation - that's your call but don't slag off the people who think this is a fun way to make a charitable contribution. Some people seem to want to take an opposing stance to what's popular - I suspect that's an illness in itself - I just haven't found a name for it yet, ideas welcome.

I'm here and quite relaxed, this team needs to start on the learner slopes before the black runs. Europa league ok for me - but suspect we will lose rather than gain players.

I quite like watching them except when they drone an about their nominees for 5 minutes first - just get on with the bucket bit :)

I have backed Liverpool again this year for the premiership so I remain a Brendan Rogers and Liverpool fan for another year. 13/1

I mean personal texts sent from your work phone.

The issue for me here is less to do with the rather obvious issue of the Mackay racism and much more to do with opening peoples eyes as to the power an employer has through ownership of all of your personal messaging emails and texts. This most of us know. But what's wrong here is that the employer has gone looking. This happens in most termination cases. In my view its wrong. Harry was dead right in that someone was out to get him. Hence I chose that paragraph. It's a football thread but it's the employment law angle is more interesting.
