Twins were 7m, I expressed at work (twice a day on the 2 days I worked) so they could have 7 oz each those days (2 small feeds) I had a double electric pump, hands free bra, used office fridge (recommend axifeed bottles) Employer must accommodate x

Indeed! Laddi, it wasn't me personally who was pursued for payment aggressively by Ashbourne Management, but other forum members have been. It is not so easy for the reputation of an organisation to be rebuilt after such sharp practices, though I can see why the healh club is now aggressively promoting itself on the forum, as it does indeed have a very poor reputation given past operations.
  4. Gussy: specialist children's phlebotomists can do it so gently, and with distration, they hardly notice, I promise
  5. If you're worried, see the GP. My (then) 6 yo was very pale, frequently saying he felt ill, when he'd always been healthy before. The GP sent us for blood tests at Kings, they do it very gently. Once I knew his iron was Ok and no underlying condition, I felt much better.
  6. I would read this before considering Hamlets: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,485943,486520#msg-486520
  7. I would avoid Hamlets Health Club due to very restrictive tieins and difficulty in cancelling membership, has been discussed elsewhere on the forum and on consumer internet forums.
  8. I think it's too do wtih speech/oral development/tooth decay, but I do feel that 1y is very young and I don't know many families who manage to lose the night time bottle at that age! I'd also see this as a transition, ie start with the cup for water/at meals and gradually move to where you can junk the bottle totally
  9. Probably it's "Wonderweek 8" http://www.thewonderweeks.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=58:mental-leap-2&catid=36:mental-development-during-first-two-years&Itemid=126
  10. But this is about FB use from home
  11. I would ask them under what part of the disciplinary code they have the right to control your links via FB. But there may be smoe clause regarding contacts with anyone who leaves the company knowing commercial secrets/contacts etc
  12. Avent cups with the white top and the inner seal removed are a good start too...
  13. Before I had children I thought the idea of a babywipe warmer was just silly. Now as i crouch in the semidarkness above a sleepy baby who is blinking at me suspiciously wondering if I am about to assualt his nether regions with something cold and wet, i can suddenly understand their purpose... Ergo newborn insert is good btw, plus you can hoik the baby out and leave it under a chair if you're in a busy place with other children and don't want it crushed into your cleavage
  14. We have thermos cups http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermos-Beaker-Asstd-Orange-Blackcurrant/dp/B0001MQ7ZY/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1293790514&sr=8-13
  15. We have cheapo ikea antilop ... easy to clean, tray can go in dishwasher, cheap enough you can paint etc in it without worrying it will stain. Takes up small floor space
  16. science museum/kids garden (is a great indoor play area) Or... a city farm? Or the one S of London that got closed over some nasty bug.. lots to do there....
  17. I think at a year they need a pint, but can also count in yoghurt, cheese etc one bottle/large cup at night would do i would think, plus milk on cereal, otherwise can drink water...

  19. if it's not possible to prepare a feed fresh, (using a flask of hot water for eg) the next best is to make the feed as per fsa advice, sool rapidly, store briefly then use asap. Making up the feed without hot water skips the key step, that's the problem
  20. the actual procedure is to boil a full kettle and leave for no longer than 20 mins, that's the fsa advice based on the evidence. it is preferable to use water above 70 degrees than below, the milk quality isn't badly affected.

The issue is the water is supposed to be 70 degrees, to kill the bugs...
  22. But most parents with toddler/baby mix tend to have P&T, and will no doubt post their opinions...
  23. In short, I'd recommend the nipper, ours is still going strong after almost 3 years. Is very popular amongst twin parents. http://www.practicalpushchairs.co.uk/pushchairs/out-n-about/83/out_n_about_nipper_double_360_pushchair.html/
