This is not a new situation. Why has Southwark not addressed this before. Like most things relating to traffic Southwark have their own plan regardless of what people tell them. You would have thought that if you have an ongoing problem,. i.e bollards being uprooted, roads unable to carry large vehicles you would fix it. As Cllr Ali is a very local Cllr you would have thought she would have pursued it with more energy.

Southwark seems to direct everyone online - why?

If it's not a full time job how do they get to be cabinet members. Do they have to give up their full time job? -

New proposal to build 17.5 mt 5G tower in Chadwick Road

As this is being proposed to sit in an electricity sub station I do not think planting trees will come into the equation -
Out of interest what was the age group?

What is not mentioned regarding these photos is that many of these estates were built 70 years ago and these estate roads went nowhere except round the estate. Also when they were built people did not own motorcars in any number. They have always been LTN's due to where they are. Southwark made many of these estate roads one way many many years ago.

When at the weekend? In the week Dulwich park is empty. So if you pay for parking you do not cause accidents cause congestion or pollute. Many people that used to use the park do not because it is expensive.
-
Would be interesting to see when the costs and revenue appears for the car parks that you now have to pay for and are mostly empty now people do not drive to the parks
-
Why are you talking about Court Lane Garens when you mean Court Lane?
-
So if you don't have off street parking you cannot own a car.

and closure of Champion Hill

It seems there must be a child with red felt pen just drawing lines on road maps that Southwark then think is a good idea with no thought and executes into being Bellenden Road left turn into Choumert Road by the bookshop has suddenly had poles, bricks inserted into the road for some reason reducing the road turning space. Quite why they have done this is a mystery as it serves no purpose and the road/pavement was fine before and must have cost a lot of money. It is getting very silly now.

And I believe a vast overspend with no one keeping their eye on on the escalating costs. -

They are both as useless each other. We deserve better. -
I have just been sent a message that a petition has been put up on change.org against the proposed closures re Peckham Rye. https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.change.org%2Fp%2Fto-stop-the-road-closure-taking-place-peckham-rye-covid-19-experimental-travel-measures-to-stop-the-road-closures-happening-in-peckham-rye-covid-19-experimental-travel-measures&data=04%7C01%7C%7C4c1777987e82431d2b1508d872ea58ed%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C637385698116748350%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=Ecbcp%2BAUpXMf%2BnCfWhPejWnG5bVvWfw9NEU1oL28WP4%3D&reserved=0 Not sure if people are aware of this.

Or because of a broken water main on south circular with traffic having no where to go because of closures

Peckham Rye bus & cycle gate
sally buying replied to rollflick's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Whether Jasmine Ali agrees or not my personal thoughts are she will do what she is told but show token interest to what is said locally. Taking up any cause on behalf of residents my contact with her on any subject has been a complete waste of time. I feel that she has no interest in any residents opinions. We need a change of Cllrs who are not directed by the political Labour machine unfortunately The Lane ward where she originated has been merged into the Rye Lane ward. So no chance of change.
