  2. What does that sentence mean...? Anyway, it may well be that moving things from the FHT would just be shoving it on someone else's doorstep, I have no problem with that when it's shots being discharged near my house. It may also be that that particular night running in that particular location on that date in the month is bringing clashing people together who wouldn't have run into each other otherwise so the problem is being solved - I don't think either of us can be 100% sure which it is. What I would be thinking though it that whichever doorstep it does happen on, one which is quite so residential isn't the right one. I used to go clubbing a lot, still do from time to time, and clubs of this nature should ideally be away from residential areas, I'm not sure why anyone's arguing that point. A late night bar for grown ups who leave quietly playing dance music is fine. One for lairy 'youths' shouting, fighting and now shooting ain't.
  3. Are they black helicopters?
  4. Easy for me to say having never had a general but as they say above, and as all my friends and family have experienced, they tend to know what they're doing. And to put it another way they don't do generals willy nilly as, amongst other thing, they ain't cheap so I'm guessing the benefit will be fantastic. Let us know how you get on.
  5. Looked like someone winning a bet to me....
  6. Now this is petty - schoolchildren (OK, one particular school boy)on the bus who stand in the bus exit area and don't get out of the way with sufficient alacrity when we reach the stop. Extra annoying points as there are seats available within three paces. Get. Out. Of. The. Way. I have a split second of my life to save here.

  8. Good stuff from ct there but I think you do need to bear in mind that whatever you do your lcd will be struggling to be as good as the crt for standard def, plenty you can do to make it better though as described.
  9. Bus drivers who open the rear door and watch people getting off for a couple of seconds before opening the front door to let people on. Clearly this is much more annoying when it's raining.

  11. I'm trying to work out the question - if you've got music on our pc already then what BJL says, it's just a matter of transferring files as said. Where's the music now, what phone, and do you have everything that came in the box with the phone ie cable discs etc??

    Napster

If one is to (perish the thought..) pay for music I'd be recommending www.emusic.co.uk . Not so much of the top ten in the hit parade pop pickers, but electronic, indie and obscure malarkay ahoy! There's usually a 50 tracks free when you sign up as well if you have a look.

Lookie here for a review of various different methods of sending your music about the house - http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2008/09/05/roundup_music_streamers/ - we've got Squeezeboxes of different incarnations. I don't get involved with Napster though. Last.fm but that's more radio, have a look.
  14. Does it have to be a Dulwich Pound? 100 organics = 1 buggy?
  15. Sounds like a cab driver I had the other day.
  16. The Boys Are Back In Town - Thin Lizzy. My first visit to the thread, and I thank you.

We got gates at Forest Hill recently which are manned, staff who weren't there before. They do go home at 8ish though and just leave them open. The a bit later the ticket hall's shut completely and they just leave the side gate open. You still can't buy an Oyster Card there though..

    Google Chrome

I installed it yesterday - seems to work well, quick so far etc. Not so sure about it showing my most recent opened pages and bookmarks to anyone as they look over my shoulder though!

Were you displaying one? If not then you are committing the offence. You may be able to get off on appeal but no guarantees. This knowledge based on not displaying one on my motorbike for years as they get nicked and carrying it around in my wallet to show the nice policeman when he pulled me over.
  22. "'significant passenger disbenefits'" A genius expression if ever I saw one!

  24. Ratty added for Siduhe and myself..
  25. I'm away for a couple of days so won't be involved in the rumoured link up tonight, next Monday though? I see a potential for a regular Mondays at 8 type thing...
