OP "There seems to have been an increase in crime in Dulwich lately.......... i think a lot of it is by youths passing through the area probably from Peckham and Camberwell.... it seems however that not everyone is reporting these to the police so the actual numbers are unknown." There seems, I think, unknown. A genius post on which to base an argument. Good thread, 8/10.

The 8.05 has been absolutely consistent this week, around 5 minutes late... Just a leaves thing I think, trains are fine from here and reliable. Plus we have SMB Jones.

30 seconds walk from Liquorish so I guess I'm qualified to comment? I misunderstood your post as I read it literally ie they'd paved over a busy bit of pavement, ie fixed it, which on the surface would have surely been a good thing. I get your meaning now.

Residents Parking - Where God Art Thou

It's a mare is residents parking. Just means you have to pay to still not be able to park in my experience. -

Seems to me they've been quite open about it, they've offered a solution, and that any sensible person knows they're only doing what they're doing in the US because it's such a litigious culture. And to clarify courtesy of http://www.channel4.com/news/articles/uk/maclaren+buggy+recall+why+not+here/3417817 In America, the term "recall" does not mean a product is recommended to be returned. Maclaren says "it means corrective action or the modification of products which can be carried out in the home", so it insists there is no need for pushchairs sold in Britain to be returned. I trapped my kids fingers in car boots and door hinges, it's for parents to take responsibility surely. Attention's been drawn to it.... crack on.

Somewhere in this thread it says there's another William Rose. What's needed is a competitive butcher to them somewhere around the Lane. If it already exists then a) tell me and b) they need to market themselves better (and I know about Libretto's btw)

Round here I'd probably open a TennerLand.

Don't underestimate Dunne, look what's happened to City's goals against column since he went. Anyhoo, I'm looking forward to Bahrain vs New Zealand. Lots of family connections in NZ and this is a very big deal for them. Eurosport, 7am kick off, second leg, start at 0-0.

Santa's Christmas parade 19th December 12pm onwards
ruffers replied to monica's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Vaguely connected but as a kid up north we used to have a Santa's sleigh coming round the estate, possibly the Rotary Club, always a big deal. Does that happen here? -

I'm hugely impressed with the library by the way, or it's opening hours anyway. Libraries remind me of being a kid and every other week on a Tuesday (I think) as a family we all went there to get new books. The day I realised that picking a random book as well as ones I recognised could lead to good things was an important one in my life. > Anyway, off the the murder mystery section with > the both of you to figure out who > kil...................................

Is that a specific reference to the landlord there or a general thought about what might happen?

One of the lights is out again by the steps at East Dulwich.

Page the Oracle. Go to ITV, not 1, 2 3 or any of that nonsense, and press text.

No, but he is that bland.

Normal behaviour in Finsbury Park, although I'm not sure how useful that information is. And Paris of course. As he's parked next to you now though I guess you can have a word, make a claim etc although I'd be tempted to just say it's part of life's rich tapestry and leave it. If you fix it it'll only get bumped again!

Decent Chinese and a men's clothes shop. No, I haven't read the thread.

Just when I'd found a local supplier of La Gitana sherry as well. Bugger.

My personal view is that if a house needed it, and someone fixed it and guaranteed it for 25 years, it's probably the most solid house on the street... > > That's OK as long as the company who did it > doesn't go out of business (as a surveyor advised > me re a damp guarantee on a flat I was going to > buy once)
