When I'm broke I get a bag of chicken bits from the butchers in Peckham instead of dog food for my greedy mutt. It has feet, heads, skin, fat and sometimes bits of cow bone. I boil it all up for about half an hour, let it cool down and my dog loves it. He crunches through the chicken heads and laps up the water it was boiled in with joy.

I've been subjected to racisim from black people too and so have my kids. I hate people's obsession with race and challenge racism wherever I see it. I can't help it. I find it depressing and want people of all communities to raise their consciousness and stop all forms of negative tribalism. The British elite have used divide and conquer tactics since the beginning of our industrialisation and empire - both on countries we invaded and our indigenous populations. It depresses me when I see people still playing out those divisions.
