Oh and the guy I kicked the shit out of had just punched his son because his son had beaten my little boy with a piece of wire and I'd complained to his dad. When I said to him that maybe the reason his kid is bullying smaller kids is because of the fact his father thinks it's normal to punch him in the face, he asked me if I wanted some, and punched me in the face, making me fall backwards onto my 4 yr old son. So I went mad and beat him up. I'd been doing kick boxing for a certain amount of time and when my insticts kicked in, I left him with a face covered in blood. I took my son home and was shaking and crying, but everyone had seen me beat the guy up, so no-one said any more blatantly repulsive racist things to my face again.

I am working full time but my salary is still crap. I need to look good enough for my forthcoming raise, so have been buying designer suits, some of them brand new, from charity shops for between ?5-10. Result! Also get all my posh shirts and tops for peanuts from charity shops. Got my kids into it recently too. My 22 year old is always broke and complaining about never having enough money to buy clothes for my fast growing granddaughter. I dragged her into three or four charity shops and came out with a big bag of quality clothes for about a tenner.

We were married in 1990 so it was some time ago, and comments became less hostile, like, 'I don't like black people, but your husband is ok, he's like one of us'. That kind of thing. Or 'Black people are ok, but I wouldn't go out with one. They smell funny.' Kind of pissed me off on a regular basis.

I don't think TSL was very threatening, but it's a matter of perception. I don't find a lot threatening, but other people do. It might have been that Hugeunot genuinely thought TSL was trying to threaten him.

Quids - I was being deliberately prejudiced when I said that the white working class were lazy - because I was trying to make the point that racism and prejudice are unpleasant when you are on the receiving end. It wasn't nice, and it isn't actually my view - as you would know if you ever read my anti chav-bashing posts. I can't stand any prejudice and have always tried to fight it in my own way. Oppression is a multi-faceted thing and many different communities are oppressed, including the white working class in the UK. That doesn't mean that they should then use that as an excuse to join in the oppression of the next group along.

I knew a lot of TSL types when I lived on a big council estate for 22 years and became familiar with the 'I'm not rascist, but ...' so am reasonably well atuned to covert rascism and agree with Huguenot's definition and example of TSL's rascism. I'm not sure why it is anyone's job to prove anything to you Daizie, especially as you are already entrenched in your viewpoint. I also don't know how you are qualified to decide what issues I have and that you have less. I reckon that you have a few large chips on your shoulders and issues a plenty if these posts are anything to go by.

If so, that is an indication that you have moved from any logical argument to the kind of tactics TLS was being accused of.
