  1. I was lucky enough to visit the bar at the top of the Gherkin a few weeks ago. The flats are a great landmark to spot ED by if you ever manage to get up there.
  2. I agree totally with his thinking - travelling to train and be in the squad is tiring whether you play or not. To be honest if he's not going to play I rather he stayed at home and not get injured. At the same time, I'd love it if he got to play in the qualifiers (I have a ticket for the Russia game - Yippee!) and show everyone what a wally McClaren has been. Maybe then he'd get the respect he deserves. England's loss is our gain.
  3. So glad the season starts again on Saturday - its just not the same without it
  4. What do you reckon about Carra' and McClaren situation? (Perhaps we need to set up an LFC thread - sorry Jah Lush)
  5. Fastest hat-trick in the Prem! Can't believe he missed out on taking that pen in his last game - was gutted for him.
  6. No it's great - only one pint though. I wake up with a horrible headache if I drink too much. Do you remember those sweets - Floral gums? Reminds me of them...
  7. I really hope he does well - such a shame he didn't stay at Anfield. I reckon he'll be back as a coach one day. His loyalty to LFC has no bounds. Loved it when he gave ManUre a five finger salute when not even playing for us - Brilliant!
  8. Peroni and Hoegaarden
  9. Yikes!
  10. and Fowler...... I reckon Spurs will do well this season and they'll definitely be challenging the top four. I can't wait until Saturday! Am at the Test match, but will be leaving at 5ish to watch the Liverpool game. I think that if we (LFC) start well this season, we'll do well. As mentioned previously consistency is our problem - I hate to say this, but I don't think we're going to win the Prem. I'm sure we'll bring home some silverware, but these things take time to gel. (I hope I'm wrong) Come on you reds >:D<
  11. I'm with Jah Lush on this one - everyone starts somewhere, good luck to White Stuff I say and welcome to East Dulwich. Every business on Lordship Lane is there to make money, I doubt that the shopkeepers wake up in the morning and ponder their day ahead and what their business will do for the "community". White Stuff coming to ED will be good for Lordship Lane as surely people will come from elsewhere and bring trade to the other local shops.

  13. Who wants to live forever - Queen
  14. Spider Pig, Spider Pig, does whatever a Spider Pig does.....
  15. Was it Spider Pig?
  16. Marmite is great - the freaks are the people that don't like it. What is wrong with you all?? ;-) ClareC - How spooky, myself and the housemate ordered a bumper stash of Guinness Marmite at the weekend. I wonder if we're favoured customers?
  17. More Marmite ideas on here. http://www.marmite.co.uk
  18. Mr Liu's has the 0181 number outside - I notice it everytime I go past.

What about elderly folk or someone > on crutches? Yes myself and my housemate often laugh at our attempts not to pole and lap dance whilst trying to stay up-right on the bus. I reckon the drivers do it on purpose. In all seriousness though, I'm surprised that people haven't been hurt.
  20. I saw that and wondered what it was all about. Did the passenger smash the window?
  21. Worth a try ;-) If you have to order two I'll buy one off you.
  22. Marmite on corn on the cob? Sounds good :) Snowboarder - have only ever managed to get Guinness marmite once (it is limited edition), but we got it from Waitrose online. Not sure if they still have it - our jar didn't last very long :(
  23. Marmite is great - have you tried the Guinness edition? One morning when hungover, I decided to try marmite with orange marmalade as I couldn't decide which one to have. Sounds disgusting but is fantastic. I recommend that you try it!
  24. I can smell them! - Jack (the Weimeraner) is particulary windy tonight (6)
  25. I remember watching a film as a kid, when someone gets a scorpion put down their back. Have had nightmares about it ever since. Scary, scary things. (I'm now sitting here with my feet on the couch ::o (just in case))
