  1. Keef - I now feel about 10 again. (Thanks for the memories! >:D<) How phallic is the Gordon Thomson bit in the Dynasty credits? Never got that as a kid :-S My favourite cartoon was this and the most memorable advert
  2. Boo hoo hoo - what a depressing day of football (for me). Oh well at least Chavski only got a point too. The top four appear to be the top four again :-S

    Great Gigs

Just re read my comment Jah Lush - I didn't mean you were "old". Like you, I still think I'm 17 and it scares me to think that you had to have been born in 1990 to be that age now :( I just assume everyone is the same age as me and then when people talk about things that happened before I was born, it all seems a bit strange. ;-)

Oh right - thanks :)) I've grown up with music. My folks would always have the radio on or would be listening to one album or another. So much of the stuff I like these days is based on my childhood memories etc. i.e Squeeze, Queen, Van Morrison... The list is long. I know so much stuff from the eighties, but unless they were huge (e.g Queen etc) then I'd know the song, but wouldn't have a clue who performed it.

Jah, I was born in 1980. Its only when you go on about the gigs you've been to that you show your age. :))

Worst accoustics = Earls Court. Saw the Chili Peppers there last year. Most disappointing :'(
  11. I've only ever watched football in the Magdala and the Castle in East Dulwich, although am tempted to pay a visit to the CPT in the near future.

Ever been to Cadogan Hall? Saw Kelly Jones there and he was amazing.

I love the Forum - it's one of my favourite venues :))
  14. Obviously I am biased and think that Gerrard is Captain Fanatastic and was shocked when Terry won the Capataincy. Being at the game you see so much more than what is actually televised. It appeared to me that Gerrard was far more vocal in organising the team and I did wonder at times who was captain. I don't rate Lampard, however for the sake of club over country, I'd much rather that he was selected over Gerrard - particularly for friendlies. Especially, when McClaren wants to play him with a broken foot (6) Ferdinand made a couple of silly mistakes last night and IMO Barry should have been MOTM followed closely by Owen
  15. Of course it's true Sean and I must say that the stadium is phenomenal. I know I'm comparing to Anfield, but the only thing I felt it lacked was atmosphere. England's repetoire of songs and chants is quite frankly shocking! Clap clap, clap clap clap, clap clap clap, ENGLAND! (Boring!) Easy, Easy (I blame soccer am!) To be fair there were alot of Prawn sandwich types there, but what really shocked me, was the number of "real fans", who left 10-15 mins before the final whistle. They missed goal number three ::o My clients thoroughly enjoyed the game, we sat at Debenture level in normal seats and did not miss a second of the match. It was a great night. :)-D
  16. I couldn't agree more with the allocation of corporate seats (trust me, Liverpool's allocation for the CL final was terrible and mainly due to the corporate bodies involved). It's disgusting when real fans can't get to a game. In my job I get offered the opportunity to attend many sporting events, but I only accept the offers when I support the team or have a genuine interest. Unfortunately, many of the Prawn sandwich types only go so they can say that they have been.
  17. "If you give us a tenner, I'll watch your car for yer, and make sure dey don't nick yer wheels....." Yep, have heard them all before ;-)
  18. Re: Missing wheel trims new Posted by: spadetownboy Today, 11:22AM must be a few scousers in town ============================ ::o How very dare you !!!!
  19. Yep, it's corporate - but we all support the team we're going to see. Don't see the harm there! ;-)
  20. Errrm, well it's quite easy if you put a business case forward to take clients ;-) and then you don't even have to pay. The only down side is that I have to be on my best behaviour! From what I can gather, there are still tickets available up in the Gods though...
  21. and make sure, you do it before tonight's game. ;-)
  22. Might have already mentioned this, BUT, I am going to the game tonight. Come on England!! >:D
  23. I hope they draw ::o
  24. Hey! I only asked if I could work behind the bar :-S
  25. Errrrrr ;-) :-$
