Left that photo lying around the flat did she? Since we're playing the "pwhoar game" in the ironic "I'm a new man really but like a bit of totty" sort of way can I vote for Gabrielle Anwar please. 2. Fantastic. The man's an oxygen thief.

  4. He's got the same action as Malinga.
  5. I'm afraid Herc would have to go down as one of the least sympathetic characters. Albeit and unintentionally funny one. Amongst the Baltimore PD I think only Anthony Colicchio is more of a knob.
  6. Sue will be pleased.
  7. On Bellenden Road. The refurbed Montpellier is round the corner too which hasn't been done yet (I think). I'd also give the Clockhouse a go over Adventure Bar.
  8. Bah. I've been discovered as a mere Wire-lite fan.
  9. Piers! Sssh. We nearly got away with it!
  10. I'm here! Ahhh, The Wire. I'm currently reading David Simon's Homicide and some of the characters are obviously the basis for future Wire characters. I'm not sure where to begin on here though. Favourite character? Spiros. Favourite scene? Tough one, but probably in Series 5 where the opening events show Michael being chased through a deserted warehouse and you think he's going to get killed, he ends up shooting Snoop and the whole thing turns out to be a training exercise. Gripping stuff.
  11. Ooh if you are free of tie, which it would appear, try some stuff from the Pilgrim Brewery in Reigate. I used to know the guy who runs it and he's a real gent. They have a great special called Progress and an equally good session beer Surrey.
  12. Do we have a dress theme for next year's Barry Barry Road Race emerging? Do you think D&G might sponsor it and supply us with free undies?!

  14. Tomorrow night at the Scala, The Herbaliser are playing with their full orchestra (quite often they just do a DJ set). Having seen them in the past I can thoroughly recommend it if there are any tickets left.
  15. Oooh, I liked that very much. A bit Fleetwood Mac. It appears they played the EOTR festival. Did you see them there SeanMcG?
  16. David Morrisey
  17. Well despite you laughing at me it appears we agree. Good. Varying volumes.....most annoying. Opinion formers, decsion makers - take note. We want volume to stay the same unless we alter them. And we want one volume alteration control. Not more than one. Just one. Oh, grrr, now you've made me think of more.....my TV is connected to a DVD player and a set-top box and they all have their own controls. And the whole kit and caboodle is connected to an AV amp which has another one. I need a lie down.
  18. EDOldie - I'm sorry but that is complete cock. If it was an attempt at self publicity you would have thought they would have tried to get more than two complaints. And leaving prank call messages doesn't shriek controversy to me. Singing songs about Joseph Fritzl; making jokes about rape - see, that's aiming high on the shock chart. If this was an attempt at controversy it was even worse than their sense of humour. If by PSB you mean public service broadcast(er) then it still exists. Only now, you aren't the only representative of the "public". So am I. And I want them to stay. Along with the controller of Radio 2. The editor of Mail on Sunday can fuck right off though.
  19. Volume and its controls. Especially on my computer. So, there I am, listening to i-toons and it has it's own volume settings. Then I have my computer's own volume control. Then I have external speakers which have another one again. And all of them need adjusting constantly. Why is this necessary? I want a big fat twizzle knob (no laughing) on the front of my box (stoppit) that adjusts the ONE volume for everything. And don't get me started about why some things are just louder than others. From one song to the next. Nothing has changed and yet my ears are now bleeding.....
  20. The controller of Radio 2 has tendered her resignation. Still no news on Ross. Brand was meant to be guest captain on Never Mind The Buzzcocks tonight....be interested to see what happens there. Plus he has a new series on Ch4.....viewing figures will be massive.
  21. Heart-breakingly beautiful pop. Lucky Soul - Lips Are Unhappy
  22. This is actual footage of SeanMcG on his way to work in the morning:
  23. It seems the wifery of ED are being set up for some sort of Brownie bake-off. All those in favour say "aye". Edited for the inclusion of another candidate - just how many other man's wives have you had brownies from Keef?
  24. Wrong. Me, not SimonM
