  1. I've always voted Labour except in the recent local and European elections, and I don't like Corbyn either, but I'm looking at the bigger picture and the best he can achieve is a coalition gov with the Remain parties, in which he'll have his hands tied as to how much he can do politically. The initial focus of such a coalition will be to have a confirmatory referendum, after which I can easily see the coalition unravel quickly, and Corbyn then retiring to his allotment...
  2. I'm not sure cancelling Brexit would go down that well, I think most would prefer to do it via a confirmatory referendum rather than a straight revoke, a new ''will of the people'' if you like. This is all semantics anyway as the LDs won't win this GE, the best chance for Remainers is a Labour led coalition, and I hope most people relaise that and vote accordingly...
  3. The Lib Dems had zilch chance of winning (35,000 behind Labour) that's why they stood down...
  4. I'd be wary of polls this GE as it must be difficult to allow for the nuances of tactical voting, which you're going to see a lot of in this GE. The fact is the Tories need to gain seats, the BXP pulling out of seats the Tories already hold doesn't add to the gains needed, in fact the reality is that they are likely to lose a number of them to the Lib Dems and SNP regardless. So that leaves the Labour held marginals where the Tories have to make their gains, yet the BXP has said they won't pull out of these seats...
  5. Well, I don't like Corbyn but I'm prepared to vote Labour for reasons above. Ideally he'll lead a coalition Gov, have a confirmatory referendum, then there'll probably be another GE...
  6. Survation were the closest pollsters in the 2017 GE, doesn't mean they will be again, but YouGov pols have a rep for being outliers, they predicted a 7% lead for the Tories but it was only 2.5%...
  7. GE 2017 results here... https://electionresults.parliament.uk/election/2017-06-08/results/Location/Constituency/Dulwich%20and%20West%20Norwood Helen Hayes was one of the few to vote against triggering Article 50, for that alone she deserves Remainers' votes...

  9. After what DHFC and the fans recently went through after being made homeless, most are just relieved to have the ground back despite the length of toilet queues...
  10. 3800...
  11. This is not the drunk at a wedding reception that no one knows who he is but politely nods along to his incoherent ramblings, this is our Prime Minister. A Prime Minister who doesn't understand the deal he struck with the EU, states that NI will have a great deal because it will remain in a customs union with freedom of movement. Errrr, so if it's such a great deal why are you taking that all away from the rest of us?...https://twitter.com/ManufacturingNI/status/1192564837345353728
  12. One of the many traditions of the FA Cup are the homemade banners and kitchen foil clad cut-outs of the Cup itself, might be a bit late in the day but wondering if any of those on here lucky enough to have a ticket planning on making/taking a banner to the match so we can look out for you on the box tonight, perhaps with an EDF theme?... Carlisle, you've just been crushed and devalued!
  13. Friday night match. Week 12 fixtures... 14. Another visual trick, what you see on the TV news isn't always the whole picture...
  15. Ocado priced matched Tesco, not sure if they still do, but they certainly have lots of excellent offers and a good mix of everyday brands like Heinz, Kelloggs etc as well as Waitrose stuff. Next year sometime they are teaming up with M&S instead of Waitrose...

If you've got a friend who already uses Ocado they cab invite you to shop with Ocado and you will receive a ?20 off voucher plus free deliveries for a year, after your first order your friend will receive ?20 off too...
  17. Ocado still use bags, they charge 5p per bag but you get 5p off your bill for any bags returned, including non-Ocado bags. They ask whether you'd like the bags carried through or not...
  18. In an age of slick promos and catchy soundbites, there's still nothing quite as refreshingly powerful as 'the empty chair' visual, prefer a tub of lard to a glass of water though :)...
  19. I read there were about 100 that didn't vote, and around 60 of them are not standing at the next election, so perhaps they felt it wasn't right for them to vote...
  20. There's an unwritten convention that the Speaker's party allegiance alternates between the two main parties, and this time it was Labour's turn. Perhaps in the future the alternation will be between Leave and Remain(Rejoin)...
  21. Congrats Meds and thanks for organising...

  24. I've been quiet because as predicted by Mark Francois, I exploded when we didn't leave the EU on the 31st. A shame this didn't coincide with my 10,000th post as I could've killed two birds with one stone...
  25. I heard she likes to keep it old school and get her chops around some Old Jamaica...
