I didn't think draws counted in the knock-out stages, so the only other strategy I could think of was to hopefully pick the highest or lowest prediction to the result to give myself a chance of getting the medal and bonus points...

  5. Fry's Chocolate Cream points to an OAP, your son had a lucky escape as it could've easily been an invite to come in and sit on Grandad's knee and suck on a Werther's...

  8. Thanks, so the Miracle is still alive, just. I think you should abstain from predicting to make it more interesting... :)
  9. All that's possible in theory. Not sure why there's been this big thing about this latest 'flextension', as it's inherent in A50 that if we agree a deal before the extension end date we could leave early. A referendum can't be forced though, just as Johnson has found out he couldn't force Brexit if there isn't a majority for it in Parliament. Legislation needs to passed before it can happen. As for what such a ref should ask, would've thought one of the deals the EU has agreed to v Remain... ETA: If in an election the Brexit Party advocating No Deal won more votes then the Tories advocating Johnson's deal, then there's a good argument to say that No Deal should be on the ref ballot paper instead
  10. What points are available for the remaining two matches?...
  11. Yep, identical problem with a sink, the pop-up waste mechanism has corroded away so that it won't pop-up or close. You need to replace the whole waste not just the pop-up bit you're holding in your hand. I used a plumber to do this, Paul at AKA Plumbing 07794 316551...
  12. True, but they're not going to be seen to being complicit in No Deal happening, they should just stick to the UK's request of 31st Jan even though everybody knows it's realistically not long enough, plus it keeps them out of the blame game...

  16. Hypocrite Unc likes hypocrite O'Neill shocker. When O'Neill tried to justify his avocating of riots he said "There is a fine tradition in this country of radical protests - right from the levellers in the 1640s to the chartists in the 1840s to the suffragettes who did take direct action... when their voices have been ignored.". Yet O'Neill is happy to mock XR for their direct action radical protests...
  17. Meds, are you predicting the Ire game with your head or your heart?...

  21. I have a mix of original art and prints on neutral walls, less is more. I also like 'leaning' artwork against a wall either at floor level or on a shelf (along with ornaments, photos etc). This has the advantage that they can be easily moved around until the 'right' place is found. The frame is important too as the wrong frame can spoil good artwork. I would never buy any original artwork online without seeing it first in person, even a litho print can look very different online. Also with some artwork it's just as much about the texture and even the smell of the materials used, which you can never appreciate from an online image...

The whole point of any protest is to raise greater awareness of your cause. XR have achieved that but they need to choose their targets more carefully. Ordinary people (and Princesses) commuting by tube shouldn't be a target, they are the people you need on your side...
