As karter stated, you don't need letters after your name...but as you've slogged this far to get them...my fingers are crossed...and I look forward to celebrating your impending achievement with you. xx

Thanks Chick, sounds exhilarating ...if somewhat scary...almost as frightening as bungee jumping...but I think I know where you are coming from...it's about leaving the safety of one's "comfort zone" isn't it?...so I won't rule it out xx
  4. Your first thread riffraff...the first of many I hope. Nice to meet you again yesterday. Did you ever find your bag? Or was it the case that you never brought it to the EDT in the first place?;-) Bye the way, my head doesn't hurt at all...but I've had zero sleep so am a little zombified as a result. Still, a fabulous night spent with a really interesting and diverse crowd. And, mystery lady - please do put us out of our misery...but, whoever you are, twas fabulous meeting you...you tease;-) Nice of Mark to make an appearance...albeit for 3.5 seconds;-), but without whom there would be no monthly drinks. And thanks to the incredible Georgia for arranging it all once again.
  5. I've had no sleep either...got home from drinks at 01.20...was descended upon by my brother and his 3 boys...who were up at the crack of dawn hungry for breakfast...God those kids eat like horses...I love them to bits though. Another great arrangement by Georgia...THANK YOU GEORGIA...a lovely cosy evening...actually got to speak to everybody...really grand xxx

  9. Just to say thanks to everyone who responded...for the profound and the nuts...all posts played their part...though I'm still no clearer re. my original question: Is this it? Big thanks to all of you who PM'd me too - that was nice. Mx
  10. I can't wait to start using them. I've been pushing for more cycle parking in Southwark for the last couple of years.

  15. Mine has a leak...is yours watertight?
  16. daizie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I may be there with exotic guests ;-) Yes, me too. For what it's worth, Georgia...I really enjoy the drinks...and I admire the way you always remember to organise them with reserved areas and nibbles etc. I think you do a fabulous job. Fabulous! Sure, they may not be the "be all and end all for any of us", but they are nevertheless great fun.

I'm sorry if my post appeared that way. Of course the people to blame are the lads who committed this dreadful crime. There also > seems to be a resignation that this sort of thing > is enivitable and that there is nothing that can > be done to stop it. As long as this defeatist > attitude prevails then parts of our cities will > continue to descend into no go areas. You are absolutely right...and as a result of this "resignation" I merely wished to make the point that even if you are a fit male who is well able to handle himself, that taking that shortcut after dark might prove to be an unwise move. But there's the real tragedy. We shouldn't be resigned...nor should we be indirectly dictated to by the behaviour of a minority, but many of us are (myself included). This is, regrettably, a very sad sign of our times (more resignation...oh dear). So, I apologise if you found my post appalling, or otherwise offensive...it wasn't meant to be.

Presumably your coffee remained drinkable then. Also, was this a capuccino type cup or an expresso type cup. If the latter, then for the unlit ciggie to have landed within such a small space...hmmmm...is there a God?
