  1. Yes but try drinking it first, you can always spit it back out onto the compost heap. And YES, provided it's just "normal" wine where the alcohol levels aren't too high (I don't think an 80% proof rum would be a good idea e.g.) then it shouldn't do the heap any harm. If in doubt, tip it out over a period of time. A friend of mine made his usual batch of blackberry wine this year, only for it all to turn to vinegar. He actually fed the stuff (all 25 litres of it) to his pumpkin plants. They LOVED it!
  2. Oh Daizie, LOL!!!
  3. Mr. Ben, I would like to echo what both Indiepanda and legalbeagle have said. I.e., please don't blame yourself. If it hadn't been you, it would have been some other poor soul. It is not your fault. Also, just remember that you are well liked, if this forum is anything to go by. Unlikely that those that did this to you have any friends, which makes them worse off than you (if you see what I mean). Hope the New Year is better for you. x
  4. Oh gawd... Cross post...see...ahem...edit above... *crawls away with tail between legs*
  5. EDITED TO DELETE ORIGINAL POST ON REALISATION THAT I HAVE GOT THIS THREAD CONFUSED WITH THE 100s THREAD. In case you had already read it, Admin, and are now scratching your heads thinking "WTF?"- my apologies. Put it down to a temperature of 103 degrees, heavy medication, and a scatty (pea) brain. Twas a genuine mistake:-$
  6. Yep, I'm in a similar position: due to fly out to Singapore on Christmas Eve. But I'm not going to worry about it. I'd much rather be delayed than fly prematurely and... Besides, I've got 100s of things to do before we leave LOL!
  7. Nope, weirdly, just this one. Having said that, this site is, strangely, nearly always slower than most other sites. Problem still here (as hubby hasn't had time to fix it as yet), but can update you all further as approriate (if of interest to any of you)?
  8. ...not looking rosy... Since Friday, I've received 4 calls from friends who have phoned to tell me that, although they should have left at the weekend, they've no chance of departing till (at the very least) tomorrow night. Still, better to be safe than sorry.

  11. Hello Admin, Hubby has finally got around to having a look at the timing out problem which I have been experiencing. I just thought I should let you know that, in our case, it is definitely not an EDF server/network issue - rather, a phone extension matter from our end (which, he promises me, he will sort out in no time at all, ha ha ha). Apologies if I caused you sleepless nights.
  12. What a dreadful thing to have gone through, MrBen. My heart goes out to you. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery: physically and emotionally. I do hope this vile incident doesn't spoil your Christmas too much, and that you'll have plenty of support around you. Big hug. x

womanofdulwich, re. your last post: *big hug*
  14. Are you going to be OK? A punctured lung sounds very serious. I wish you well generally, a super-speedy recovery, and a happy and healthy Christmas. x And a happy Christmas for that kind lady too. Well done you.

  16. Oh dear... How bad is bad LOL?
  17. Hmmmmmm...yellow smiley-winky-thingamijig doesn't fool me. Behold a fat smack in the eye coming your way... ;-) Edited to say: (1) above applies solely to Narnia and (2) thank you brum - got it now: scary.
  18. I've got gibberish brum. Narnia, how come you have opened it - what did you do? karter, are you saying you have opened it too? You are being a little cagey - if I may say so.
  19. Mr. Pallywotsitoos, I am confused. Is it no longer to be at Indian Mischief? I was considering coming to that one (it being brand new and - hopefully - having a gleaming and immaculate kitchen ;-)). Or are you having two curry nights? Please clarify. Thank you kindly. Mucky x
  20. Oh my goodness, Saucy Primate! LOL!
  21. ...everybody... ...and thanks to Mark and the team for another year of the EDF. .

    Ask Admin

Hello Admin, and sorry to bother you (again). BUT, having real problems connecting with the EDF lately (doesn't occur with other sites). Note problem also occurs once already connected - e.g. when wishing to undertake a search, or jump to another section of the Forum. This is the message which keeps popping up: The connection has timed out The server at www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk is taking too long to respond. * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. Thanks in advance for any help.
  23. I've been getting this message on a regular basis now ever since the last upgrade: The connection has timed out The server at www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk is taking too long to respond. * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. (I'm going to copy this over to the "Ask Admin" thread, in case Admin don't pick this up here).
