That is sad, both the markets at Greenwich are good, and I heard a while ago that the covered one was going to be redeveloped (although when and if that is true is another question) It is a shame to loose vibrant markets like these which serve as a good tourist pull and help to keep local businesses alive (increased footfall at a site with markets results in increased sales in local restaurants, gift shops and so on) I guess the lure of 'land for housing' is sometimes too great for councils and developers to resist in these times of low budgets and increased spending.

Rude Child ::o Now you are defiantly acting like a troll yourself.

To be honest, who cares, whom ever gets into power next time will be accepting the poisoned chalice of trying to recover the economy, and they will either succeed (either by luck or other global initiatives) or fail, but either way the cost to the ordinary man, woman and child in the streets will be high enough to ensure that they won't vote for them again for a long time. To be honest, whom I vote for when the elections eventually get declared depends on who has the most robust plan to get Britain back onto our feet and make us Great again.

Speak to the Local Safer Neighborhood team and see what they recommend. It may be that there is nothing you can do, but they may (at the very least) have a quiet word with him to alert him to the noise nuisance he is causing (and may well not know about) Xena -

Interesting, that when someone has an opinion that isn't your own they automatically become trolls now... Jezus I can hear the hob-nailed footsteps of the whole of East Dulwich, nay London, ney the world now as we must all be trolls for disagreeing with someone, somewhere Ms. Sensei, 0/10 for being so sensitive when someone publicly tells you they aren't interested in discussing something after you have left a loaded question to be answered. Perhaps YOU are trying to deflect the accusation of TROLL that could be leveled at your hob-nailed boots for starting the discussion about Mr Fry? -

Any idea what grand road / traffic scheme the Council are installing now It is strange to see that (like most councils) Southwark suddenly come up with traffic calming / highways projects at the end of their financial year (use it or loose it) Question is - the changes to the road layout they are doing, will they be safer for pedestrians and drivers as a result or would the council have been better of to leave well alone ?

Nope, I think it is for those who missed Friday and the Singles night on Saturday Heck lets just make every night of the week an excuse to go drinking in East Dulwich ... Including Kel and her weight gain / loss theory (see why???) and anything else we can just think up on the spur of the moment ... My theory - let's drink our way through the economic crisis !!
