Xena Worried prince replied to mockney piers's topic in The Lounge
This week I noticed (and it has been out for a few months now) that the old 2000AD character Rogue Trooper is out as a wii Game "The Quartz Zone Massacre" Has anyone played this, is it any good and is ?14.99 at Play a good price ? -
Like *bob* I remember Thunderbirds (fortified wine) Unlike *bob* I mixed it with Scrumpy from the Phoenix and Firkin one night and discovered the joys of projectile vomiting (more then 10 foot at a time) Interesting and I would recommend it to those who need to loose weight rapidly !!!

Interesting, so if we are talking game characters, who is going to be the first to admit to Laura Croft (in any of her various sizes !!)

Mr MacGabhann Totally Tongue in Cheek, but at the same time why not... bus lanes, whilst assisting the smooth passage of buses, do congest roads and become self fulfilling prophecies "since this bus lane was installed, traffic is slower then ever on this stretch of road and buses move faster which justifies the bus lane in the first place !!" I have heard of (but not re4ad) studies that state if we remove bus lanes, roundabouts and lights then traffic will flow far quicker and smoother then it does at the moment. Interesting thought

Reading the discussion on Motorcycles in Bus Lanes has brought me to a question If we (as car drivers) get fined for using Bus Lanes, surely there should also be a similar fine for Buses when they stray out of Bus Lanes and disrupt the smooth flow of traffic. I believe we should start a national campaign, backed by Boris, to keep buses in bus lanes and leave the rest of the road to cars. This, I predict, should also be launched at the same time as the 'stop mums driving their sprogs 5 yards to school' campaign

Don't mock it Last Year I was told that 'the Shower Chicks' from Waverly caused an all female crime spree in Peckham... From what I hear they were quite scary and put the boys to shame. I for one wouldn't like to be attacked by a gang of girls, unless they were all from St. Trinnians of course !!!

Barry Road (any comments?)
Xena Worried prince replied to BARA's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
the gradient coming from the Church end is just perfect to maintain 30 mph in a car out of gear (speed table included) but seriously, I like Barry Road as it is, there have been occasional crimes in the 15 years I have lived in the area, some serious some less so, but it is no worse then anywhere else (excluding for the sake of arguments 2 murders which could have happened anywhere in the UK) The Bushes point from BARA above is a good one, and it is something we should ask the community wardens to look into (asking the property owners to trim them back where necessary) if I could, however, change one thing, it would be to bring back the route masters and to condem the bendy buses to hell. (just a personal thing) as they make Barry Road a nightmare when they pass each other (oh and bring the bus stops back in line with the pavements like they used to be) -
bugger me, not only have we got Cybermen on here, but the Cylons too .... now there is a fight I would like to see
