  1. It's ruled labour out for me too.
  2. The squeezy one definitely has a different consistency - maybe it's just as simple as a higher water or oil content. I might be a geek and ask google.
  3. I think it's fair to charge but not profit from - ?973 sounds sort of reasonable I guess. It will probably add more value to your house should you ever want to sell.
  4. Louloulabelle, on the southern website it gives all station information including access info so southeastern probably have a similar function on their website so might be worth a look.
  5. Hi James, there's a thread on here about blue recycling bags being rummaged through and I'm sure somewhere someone mentioned theirs being removed. In our house of 3 flats in about the last 9 months or so we've gradually gone from 5 bags down to zero as of yesterday. Until yestrday I just thought they'd been accidentally left outside the wrong house but now I'm quite concerned about identity theft etc. - do you know if it's a known problem in East Dulwich and if so what the police are doing about it? Up until yesterday I'd been tearing my parers :-$ but I think I need to invest in a shredder! Thanks
  6. Hal now I have an image of a black and white striped jumper clad criminal sneaking out at night and carefully sorting his recycling into the box and the bag. Thanks for the warning Hill.
  7. Wow I'm excited about XO. The guiness one tasted the same to me but the champagne valentines (which I gave to myself) one was absolutely disgusting. I hope they don't bring out XO out in the squeezy - it tastes better from a proper jar.
  8. it's called manor place and it's in camberwell. info on the southwark website. good luck
  9. I have the ikea ekby ones above, the problem is that means you then have to have the ikea shelves, or some specially cut because of the thickness. They're fine but all (i think) veneer which you might not like. I know it sounds odd but people have complimented my brackets!
  10. Blimey how very annoying. Is it possible someone thought it was being chucked out, if so you could put a poster on the side of your house requesting your door back on the off chance. Sorry don't know anyone to recommend but I hope you get a door very soon.
  11. I doubt it - i'll ask the police to arrest all scousers asap! Zaardvark, that did cross my mind but I think it would be unlikely and he sounded nice on the phone (not that that means anything).
  12. I'd be really peeved off if someone did that to my fence, and indeed I was when a burglar broke my fence (although not as much damage) and window. I think that the policeman admitted it was his fault at the time makes all the difference although presumably the burglar must have done some of the damage, so although not your fault it is also not the police's, annoying though that may be. Hope your fence gets mended soon.
  13. Poor you , how absolutely horrible and I hope you feel comfortable out and about very soon. I don't think she really had an opportunity to defend herself as such and I don't agree with the statement that we live in an increasingly violent world. I think Noosh was just very unlucky, I'm not saying we should not all be careful but your post raymond (to me at least) sounded a bit scary.
  14. oh yes good one but i do find successfully sealing an envelope strangely satisfying. post it notes that lose their stick. jammed staplers biros that have ink in but don't work
  15. ps i really hope you get your deposit back soon
  16. Rose on the previous page of this thread owners of the flats are discussed saying they purchased the freehold etc. because of all the problems so I don't think they can all be rented out.
  17. Hi James, I thought it might have a marginal impact :-$ - I wasn't making a sarky comment I was genuinely interested. I got a smart meter through the scheme last year (and randomly am involved in smart metering projects at work) and the man also gave me a chimney balloon which has made a surprising difference.

Mines not really an ask admin but seemed silly to start a new thread when you check this one. I was just looking at the forum sponsors section and www.orcalocaldulwich.co.uk when clicked on adds an extra k onto the end of the address so the website is not found. I just took the k off the end and it worked but some people might not realise and assume the orcal website is down. Thanks
  19. Thanks James. That thermal imaging map sounds good. I live in a basement flat of a four story building and am now off to google energy saving tips for basement flats. It will be interesting to find out what impact insulating a roof will have on a flat such as mine.
  20. it's ?4.99 though - maybe I'm just stingy
  21. I use mine all the time too but I don't think he (i think it was a man) was a regular poster so we might not be so spoilt this time.
  22. Does that mean the so called "art installation" on the wall on northcross road has been canceled or is that part of last year? Thanks
