  1. The fresher the eggs the better it works is my only advice.
  2. Technically it's not another soap shop on lordship lane since it's just moving up the road a bit. Best of luck to them.
  3. Oh it all sounds so cute!!! I hope all the nativitys go well and remember to take tissues. When I was at school all my dad had to do was iron the school shepherd outfit but he ironed a hole in it and had to take it in about 20cm to hide the huge hole.
  4. Some geek at my work put VLC (no idea what it stands for, it has a traffic cone icon though) on my mac so I could play videos. That was probably useless advice but I tried.
  5. naughty lady! It gives me an idea though - maybe they should put on entertainment on the carriages to distract people from the crapness of the tube Mondays: Comedy Tuesdays: Music Wednesday: Mingling Thursday: TV/Film Friday: Pornos
  6. You are right giggirl and that is what I'm trying to do, I need to get over it asap. Declan you are also right but in the summer it does get all sweaty in there so you could close your eyes and imagine you're somewhere else.
  7. Thanks silverfox and newbie I mainly only get angry when there's lots of room on the tube and people get on before everyone is off even though there's no hurry. Weirdly I don't get angry when it's crowded - I guess I'm concentrating on staying upright then or reading my book in someones smelly armpit. You are right though newbie, that's what I thought after I shuved the lady today. If she'd then fallen over because of me and was pregnant - it's awful to think about and I am going to try my hardest not do anything similar again. My problem is I get angry when people are unnecessarily rude/thoughtless but clearly me being even more rude is not going to help the situation at all/
  8. Hello I turn into a monster as soon as I get anywhere near a tube station. I am usually happy and relaxed but lately I've been getting into tube mischief. I know it is entirely my fault and I should not go grabbing and harassing passengers but I just see red and do crazy things. A couple of weeks ago I grabbed a man because he got onto the tube before people got off and he nearly hit me because I wouldn't let go - bad! So I thought this had made me see sense but alas today I shuved a woman back onto the platform because she was trying to get on before anyone had got off. I am in no way violent or angry in other parts of my life. I know tubes make people generally annoyed but does anyone else take things too far? I think my new years resolution might have to be giving up the tube. P.S. I'm 5'4" with dark brown hair just so you can avoid me on the jubilee line - I'm fine with overland trains.
  9. Is it one of those sites that charges you each time you place a bid? If so I think the odds are highly stacked against you. If you do give it a go allow yourself only a certain amount of bids otherwise you could end up spending hundreds just bidding.
  10. A few years ago at Leatherhead station I offered an elderely lady a rolo and then this gang of girl yoofs came up and demanded a rolo off me and I said no. One of them started to explain how she would bite my ear off because she'd done it before and because I was already upset/angry (because of something else) I told her she was talking bollocks etc. Anyway to cut a long story short they followed me onto the traina and shouted at me the whole journey - I by this point had decided to read my book but when they got off they spat in my face and threw shampoo over me. At no point did anyone on the train say or do anything despite me crying for the rest of the journey. I don't know what my point is really other that some people do spit on other people - scummers. I'm sorry for what happened t you Keef but at least it's friday.
  11. I got a letter dated 14th of October 2 days ago, which must be from the strike back log. No post yet today. I think we just have to put up with it and anything I can get posted to my work address I do.

  16. My colleague lives in Wallington and I've visited once, it seems to be quite a family place and he likes it and can get the train into town fine on most days. Houses are cheaper too!
  17. Anya Lara Elle or is that Ele
  18. Simon sounds just like my boss!
  19. Have a look at the good things to see in London thread and pick some. Or go to your nearest train station, buy a ticket, get the next train that comes in (unless it's your usual commuter train) and get off wherever you fancy and just go for a wonder and explore. Take a book and walk to a nice pub or cafe. Have lots of lie ins. Visit someone you haven't seen for a while. Do some DIY or gardening. Erm i can't think of any more, just do what takes your fancy at the time. Have a good week.
  20. It's a couple of buildings left of the magnolia, near the police station. Happy thread shopping.
  21. but do you put it on a seat of it's own when there are people standing?
