I very much doubt the council will have monitoring data from a comparable period, if at all. I strongly suspect that whatever data is collected will be spun to justify the changes.

Trying to get a parking permit
ed_pete replied to the_duke_of_hazzard's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
You can email them [email protected] or ring them - search for Southwark Parking Permits but they cannot take payments over the phone - online only. -
Bstch 3 - approved. Cameras to stop traffic heading north through Dulwich Village at peak times. Also aame on Townley to stop traffic exiting to EDG 8-10 , 3-6 http://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/ieDecisionDetails.aspx?ID=7153

Lots of vehicles doing reversing manoeuvres and three point turns this morning...

Yep - on my bike coming home this evening trying to exit from Elsie onto EDG (turning right), a journey I have done 100's of times. First time ever traffic was tailing back from the LL junction to the bus stop between Derwent and Melbourne. Still nice and quiet on Elsie and plenty of room for the non-existent pedestrians to socially distance themselves.

Trying to get a parking permit
ed_pete replied to the_duke_of_hazzard's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Yep same here - yesterday unverified and could only buy a monthly pass. Tonight logged on again (noticed that DOB and Sex from profile has been lost - definitely added when account was created) and went to try to buy a permit again. Asked for the Council Tax Number (which again I had added yesterday) and this time it was verified straight away and I was able to get the annual permit. This system is shocking, there is no way it has been properly tested. I work in software development and there is absolutely no way this would get through our QA process. -
Trying to get a parking permit

Further update on this, and I have to admit it's not at all clear to me but it seems that if you have used the Dash Parking app before to pay for normal car parking using your phone then you cannot set up an parking permit account using that same mobile number and you have to create a new account that has a different number. And it all has to be done online as Southwark won't take payments over the phone. Something that should be so simple just isn't. -
14th September.

Trying to get a parking permit

Also having issues, I think in part because Southwark have outsourced this to "Dash" parking services that I have used before to pay for car parking. Currently only able to purchase a Monthly permit because my status is "unverified". Fingers crossed I'll be verified in a day or two but I'm not holding my breath. -
I am working in the office because of extremely disruptive building work in neighbours house. We use 4 floors in the building where I work and I am the only person on the floor where I sit which has a capacity of 130. Theoretically the company think we can reach a capacity of 30% and maintain social distancing and they are going to "encourage" more people back over the coming weeks, at least a few days a week, but I get the distinct feeling most are going resist quite strongly, especially those with longish commutes.

Interesting. The bulletin was issued on 26/8 at 5:20pm, and included data for 7 days up to 24/8 which includes 20/8. That was a bad day in relative terms with 12 cases and the last time we had that many on one day was 1st May. However the number for Tuesday 25th was zero. Total for the last 5 days 21/8 to 25/8 is 24. On balance though the number of cases is increasing, the 7 day rolling average for June was less than 2 per day and July less than 2.5. Of course we could just be testing more people now than then. https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/cases?areaType=ltla&areaName=Southwark

So, with these new restrictions that are basically preventing any non-bus (bus presumably includes Foundation School coaches), non-taxi, non-cycle traffic flowing north to south through Dulwich Village, or from Lordship Lane to EDG, what happens to deliveries ? I don't see any exemption for delivery vehicles so does that mean that will also be forced to sit in the inevitable jams too ? No Uber Eats or Deliveroo during those hours (OK not peak hours for food delivery I accept) but say you were having a new sofa or a washing machine or building supplies ?

A poor joke.

Locking this one too, too many duplicate messages- Admin Elsie Road, Derwent Grove, Melbourne Grove (north), Tintagel Crescent http://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/mgIssueHistoryHome.aspx?IId=50023482&Opt=0

Anyone know what's going on with 68 East Dulwich Grove, on the corner of Melbourne Grove and East Dulwich Grove ? The house/flats look abandoned, the hedge is massively overgrown and the garden is trying to escape through the fence.

Interesting note from the Turney and Burbage Roads RA that met with their councillors recently. OHSD (Our Healthy Streets Dulwich)is not formally dead but is suspended with very little likelihood of it being resurrected in the future. TfL do not have any funds for it. The Council is looking at about a 50million deficit because of the impact of Covid19 on revenue and costs. Therefore there is little Council money available for investment in OHSD What is on offer is some money from Central Government for Covid related experimental measures, a total of ?225million across all local authorities on a spend it or lose it deal. There is more money coming in September under the scheme. This is when further announcements will be made. However the decisions will be made before. The decisions are made by Richard Livingstone, Cabinet member for Environment, Transport and the Climate Emergency, in consultation with our Local Councillors, Margy Newens and Richard Leeming. (Note this article is aimed at people in Village Ward) The scheme is for social distancing, active travel and safer environments. Southwark are looking at interventions that cover these criteria but also include pollution reduction. The interventions are under the Emergency Traffic Act and can last up to 18 months and if they are to be made permanent a consultation process has to be carried out. Any intervention can be removed sooner if it is clear that it is unsafe. Link to complete article. https://turneyandburbage.org.uk/category/environment/

Mine is now back but who knows how long it?ll last

Seems like I've gained 50mbps (which I didn't ask for) but lost the service. Anyone else with connection issues around the East Dulwich Grove area ?
-
I'm not given to conspiracy theories but you do end up thinking that someone in that section of Melbourne Grove must really have the Councils ear. They avoided being the CPZ in apite of being closer to the Health Centre and Station than some roads are in the CPZ and now they got a barrier to keep the traffic out. Special treatment ? Who knows.

"if the trial is not deemed to be successful." ...and the success criteria are ???

TBH, I don?t really have a view on this but in respect of feeding animals should I or shouldn?t I put out bird food in winter ?
-
I think lpool meant no left turn from MG into Ashborne/Chesterfield/Blackwater etc, forcing the residents to enter and exit MG at LL junction. Not going to happen. Whole scheme is idiotic.

On the other thread when I asked about emergency services James McAsh's response was: "Yes emergency services need to be consulted before any measures like this are put in." Sounds like they haven't been consulted yet.
