  1. Jones of Brockley (gourmet food shop) opening on Grove Vale in the old Colour me happy paint shop next to Kwik Fit.
  2. Yet another recommendation for Aaron. Sorted out a dodgy bathroom wall. Easy to arrange, lovely chap, top job. Highly recommended.
  3. Try googling "Check MOT Status"
  4. Anyway, handy for JL click and collect.
  5. You can contact TfL via their website here: https://tfl.gov.uk/help-and-contact/contact-us-about-streets-and-other-road-issues
  6. Louisa - I imagine that you have started this thread because you're banned from the main section where there is already a discussion. I'm taking a wild guess that you're motivation is to re-hash the middle class blow-ins vs working class stalwarts debate. Nuff said. Is b-l-o-w i-n-s banned ?
  7. You think she's just going food shopping ?
  8. Yawn. Rinse and repeat. You moved out to Kent yet ?
  9. Maybe of use... https://www.theguardian.com/technology/askjack/2019/aug/15/whats-the-best-laptop-for-a-student-for-under-500
  10. OK whole story is that the existing lining has come loose in a few places, it's an old house and the ceiling hasn't been painted in at least 10 years. Options were to skim but this would require stripping existing lining first as plastering on top of lining not a good idea or crosslining over existing lining prior to painting. Plastering not really an option as rest of room now painted. This guy doesn't do papering (wall or lining) at all but I didn't know that beforehand.
  11. The former.
  12. Thanks for confirmation but he "doesn't do lining paper"
  13. Am I being unreasonable to expect a professional decorator to be able to apply lining paper to a ceiling ?
  14. A man of your considerable wealth shouldn't demean himself with work Bob. On the other hand if it stopped your posting offensive, puerile nonsense that would be a good thing.
  15. Actually Sue I still think it's a Word issue rather than a printer issue. Logically Word and Adobe Reader are using the same software to access the printer so I can only assume that Word is sending some information that renders the page as A5 rather than A4.

Suggestion was just a quick workaround until you find a proper solution.
  17. Hmm. Sure I've turned that way before, maybe the camera's are recent... Oh well.
  18. I don't know which version of Word you're using but a workaround could be to save as PDF and then print the PDF ?
  19. I got stung for ?65 for turning right from Peckham Road into Asylum Road recently. I'm sure that you used to be able to, but I've not been this way for a while. So just beware.
  20. Great display though. Really enjoyed it.
  21. Patrolling Lordship Lane is not very useful at any time of day. Seems to me that most of the crimes reported on this forum take place on side roads and back roads. I imagine the SNT have this information already and so if would be better placed putting it to use.
  22. James - it is possible to arrange for a bike hoop (or whatever they're called) outside the new library on Grove Vale ? The nearest is the one outside the station which often has no space.

  24. Bob you're pathetic. F**k Off.
  25. Heard of Google ? Try using the words "southwark council replacement bin" and see what happens.
