  1. surely bathroom material, let alone lounge!
  2. Hillsboro Rd is 'formerly known as Hillsborough Rd' on the road sign - obviously pronunciation the same either way though.
  3. In the States now they ask for a number to be entered which is the zip code connected to the card rather than a PIN. Not much good if you are not from the States! Had to use a signature instead. Libra - you do mention covering the keypad but the card can be cloned without the PIN being taken.
  4. I don't know what it is about Springers. Maybe I went on an off day but I thought the food was less than average, I'll try it again.
  5. my elbow still hurts - 6 months later. doesn't bode well for playing again.
  6. I haven't registered anyone's numbers yet. I'm in Scotland for a week so won't be able to do anything 'till I get back.
  7. to someone asking about PIN safety, my card was cloned wthout the PIN being 'compromised' (bank speak).
  8. and what purpose does this information serve?
  9. thames estuary info for anyone's interest
  10. Yes JB but you know as well as I that market forces and commercialism will win over politics. I don't for one minute believe that - for example - halving the air traffic over London (where too? over the home counties instead, or maybe Manchester?) would be a viable manifesto promise.
  11. I would say - Suth-uk (hard th), but then I'm posh.
  12. taking it all the way to 11 MP
  13. ah, but is that OVERhill or OverHILL?
  14. I agree, ?7.50 is not out of this world - West End cinemas are easily that much if not more. Brixton Ritzy is ?6.50 for an adult ticket, factor in bus fare and it's more. Breakfast at Tiffany's gets my vote as I don't think I've ever seen it all the way through.
  15. I think at the end we decided we were not going to be too regimented about it and just have them occur in a kind of loose way. How about in around a month we resurrect the thread, see who's interested and take it from there.
  16. I like cheese and honey.
  17. rainbow information I once saw a circluar rainbow round the sun. It was in the Himalayas so prob something to do with snow and altitude, good though. Edited again to say having looked at that site a bit more I probably saw an ice halo.
  18. The road more likely named after the mythical creature rather than one of the factory crew.
  19. oh yes, Repo Man great
  20. I think air traffic has increased everywhere in the last ten years, not sure we can lay the blame on a political party. Can't imagine any others would have made any difference! Except maybe the Greens
  21. I say wait-lee. On-deen is correct as I used to know someone of that name and that is how she was called. I think Ondine is a goddess.
  22. Hmm, pulled back from the brink. Don't forget Spinal Tap. Little Miss Sunshine Pan's Labyrinth To Die For The Odd Couple Blade Runner Diva The Incredibles Gone blank
  23. sounds like a good resource for a community. even if some people on here have never heard of it I'm sure plety of people have and use it regularly. it seems a shame it has to close.
