  2. Im on copleston road, I like the idea of the parklets, but not keen on the CPZ, is there an option for this on the questionnaire? also, does anyone know how this is being funded, and by how much?

You might not think ?125.00 was much, but other families may fell different, especially if three permits are needed, thats ?375.00 what a nice little earner for the local authority!!

I am also on the one way part of copleston road, most mornings I see commuters who routinely park on the road, exit and walk towards ED train ststion. I received my CPZ consultation pack today.I personally will be objecting to this proposel, I feel this is a way of the local authority will raise revenue. Us drivers already pay a small fortune for the luxery tro drive our vehicles. Yes the council has frozen the ?125.00 annual charge over the last few years, but this charge will increase, along with traffic wardens / enforcement up and down the road, experiencing issues with vistors and delivery drivers, nah, its hard at the moment, but not impossible to park on copleston road, you just might have to wakk a little sometimes, but you will find a space. I say, vote no to the CPZ
  7. I had to pick something up from the sorting office in peckham recently, and discovered the office is now open on Sundays too

  11. can you recycle carrier bags ???
  12. I took some to a charity store in peckham, the staff refuse to take them
  13. Sometimes I find myself with carrier bags and don't know what to do with them. I know ideally we should not take carrier bags, but instead use reusable bags. If you do have carrier bags, what do you do with them?
  14. So if the plastic does not clearly state it is recyclable then it cant be recycled? can all plastics stating recylable on the packaging be recycled by southwark council?
  15. so as the infomation is quite good, what type of plastics can be recycled? black plastic? 16. Hello pixie, passports are normally asked for on the door step to complete a Invitation to register (ITR). As posters have mentioned above, canvassers are normally sent to addresses because of a lack of response from the householder (IE failure to return a form back to electoral services). I am sure the canvasser would of requested the first stage of identity which is a request for a national insurance number, the second stage of identification (eg passport) is requested when a NI number is not supplied. I can see from your comments above, that you have always voted, however, you do need to return the yearly form sent to every address in the borough, failure to do so may lead to your voting status being withdrawn which means you will have to re register again, again of simply confirming your details. I am sorry to learn a canvasser was "rude and aggressive" since the 12th September, have you and fellow electors in your household completed there ITR in full (including the identification)? Canvassers are currently out and about in ED to addresses.
  17. With the London Borough of Southwark offering kerbside recycling to flats and houses in ED, do you find it easy to recycle, or is it a warzone / confusion in your households, with the varied items which can or can not be recycled?
  18. Hello all, if you have not returned your annual HEF (Housing Enquiry Form) from last month, you are sure to receive a visit from Southwark council's team of canvassers. I understand they are currently in the area, so please get that form in as soon as possible to avoid a visit.
  19. More noise this morning, banging cab door &lov you chelle" "love you to" lots of noise, why dont these neighbours just exit a cab, open their street door quietly, and go inside without the loud voices????
  20. Abe_froeman Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I think some of you have forgotten that you live > in Zone 2 of Central London. Hello Abe, I dont think any of us have forgotten we live in Zone 2. Whats your point??
  21. hello madarikatuak, what road do you leave on, and care to elaborate?
  22. I feel your pain cedges, and sorry to learn of your medical conditions. Any ideas on how to tackle such issues? is there a resident association in the area?
  23. ok, care to say which road your on?
  24. Paint is started to come off my property, is that normal?
