  1. Its been just over a year since southwark council introduce there controlled parking zone in west Peckham, costing motorists a min of ?125.00 per year. I would be most interested to hear the views of others?
  2. Thank you, first mate, I hope to hear back from the sectary soon. It's actually my eyesight, it's decreasing to a level which is a frightening feeling, so May 2021 seemed even scarier, so fingers crossed - thanks again, and merry Xmas to you.
  3. interesting Pugwash, my last appointment fact to face was January 2020, all the other appointments have been on the telephone to discuss eyes/vision. I spoke to the secretary which is good, this was yesterday, so awaiting a response back.I will remember PALS next time though. Out of interest, if I wanted to change to a different hospital, or a different consultant is that an option for me?
  4. Hello Malumbu, Maybe I did not want to ask people their opinion or ask your permission for what to type. I am really pleased for you that you have had excellent service, but that does not cancel my frustrations. and if you have never considered putting things up in a forum, again that's your opinion, I would never come on here and tell others what to type. perhaps you should post your positive experiences of KVH on a separate thread, I am not sure if I would tell you what to type or criticize you in any way as that's your perception. I hope I have not offended you
  5. We urgently need to kick racism out of football, and out of society in total. There is no place for racism. Well done for the players taking the knee, and on the second occasion, Milwall seems to get it. I personally was sick to my stomach when I heard supporters booing players. If players carry out an anti-racist gesture and are booed for these actions, you can only conclude one thing from these supporters, glad they did not give that reaction a second time around.
  6. Made another attempt to speak to the consultant's secretary - BINGO success, she is going to have a word with the consultant and come back to me. fingers cross!!
  7. Hello Peckham Pam, The reason why I want to have an earlier appointment is that I am losing my vision somewhat. I would not say "slagging off" is the correct term to use, but merely outlining my experiences. I appreciate there is covid19 but does that mean hospitals just simply stop? Is it because covid19 that phones are not answered, or appointments are months away, I'm not sure, especially as I have used the service before covid 19, and the same issues crop up for me then also. I also don't feel I am on a "self-centred rant" these are my experiences, sorry you do not like those. The service for me at kinds as an outpatient has not been great and I was just highlighting that.
  8. Another example of bad customer service. I received a hospital appointment letter for May 2021 relating to a long-standing issue. a friend of mine suggested calling to see if the appointment could come sooner. called the appointments number, and provided with a number to the clinic to call. Telephoned the clinic several times and no response. called bavk the appointment line again told on this occasion I was provided with the wrong information,m and I should call the consultants secretary, provided with a different number which is the hospitals' switchboard number, called the number, asked for the secretary, phone line just rings and rings and rings, no answer. now very unhappy :(
  9. do we have descriptions?
  10. hello James, thank you for your offer of support. Unfortunately the tenant lives in se5, but I will use the link as advised to find the councilor. best withes
  11. just as an added comment, I was really surprised that the council is encouraging internet cafes, especially with the current situation - I was not even aware Internet cafes still exist. :(
  12. Hello All, I telephoned LB Southwark last week, and waited ages for their pest control line to be answered, finally got through to someone, to be advised there is now no option to report pests on the telephone no more, and this has to be reported online. I explained, the tenant was registered disabled and a wheelchair user, but the response was to still go online. I explained the person does not own a computer and has no access to go online, and the advice - find an internet cafe in the borough. The staff member ended up disconnecting the call. I thought Southwark looked after the old and vulnerable members of society, but this shows they don't. I completely understand, the council is strapped for cash, especially with covid, but i really don't agree with policies such as this, and Southwark don't seem to care. Had another bad experience again. The tenant wanted a replacement fob because it had stopped working. Once again, called their number, ages again to answer, and told had to complete a form online. The council seems to keep its tenants at arms length these days, just not a happy bunny regarding the council righrt now :(.
  13. what are the exact rules for the carpark?
  14. what road/s alex?

  17. Anyone know why there are temp lights on bellingdon road and time scales?
  18. so if there is no enforcement being carried out by the civil enforcement officer, can I get a refund for I paid to park in the cpz in the first place? also, I have not seen any of the traffic people for a few weeks now, they use to ride on my road, and take each side, issuing tickets.
  19. yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeas :)
  20. ok thank you, i hope I never have to go there, but if I do, its handy to know incase I am too ill to walk
  21. Thank you for the advice, I'm glad your experiences were better than mind :(
  22. I would be keen to know the correlation between parking charges being introduced and attendance top the park? Also, I really question some of the schemes introduced - ?30.00 brown bin charge, Low Traffic Networks (flower pots), ?125.00 introduction of charges to park outside my home. I am not really a fan of the council right now
  23. I think it is disgusting to charge cars in parks, we shoulod be encouraging car drivers to come to the park, not penalising them
  24. did you manage to find the pass, have you applied for a new one?
  25. ok, so I visited the health centre for the first time, and I have mixed feelings with my first visit. I went into the main entrance, and notice a security man on the right behind a screen. He advised me the GP p0ractice was upstairs. The signage was not that clear, and I accidentally went into some bay with nurses (again no signage) I was redirected, and notice a small sign mounted on the arm of the stairs facing the wrong way. I went up the stairs, to be presented with a huge covid19 sign. I also saw some chairs, again unsure of what to do. I saw on my right two staff behind a screen, one was on the phone so I stood in front of the second person. I was ignored and after a few minutes I asked the member of staff if they could help me, the lady continued typing, showed no eye contact and said she will be with my in a moment. There was no one behind me. The lady finally acknowledged me, and I told her I was here for a GP appointment, I was told to use another reception staff in the corner. To be honest I was not impressed. I informed the next person I spoke to, that I was here for an appointment, and I was told to take a seat. I informed the staff member, I had a separate problem to talk to a GP about (I was seeing a nurse. I was advised I needed to make another appointment, I asked if I could do this with her, and she replied "no" I have to call in. While waiting I made a call to the health centre to book an appointment, the 30th of November was the earliest. , or I need to call back at 8 am on Monday. The nurse was five minutes late and called my name. As I got up, the nurse started walking along the corridor (no introduction) he waited at the room, once he saw me, he entered the room. He asked me to sit on one of the chairs, i sat on the wrong one (he did not specify) there were two patient chairs. He told me after the jab to have a blood test, no explanation, I had to ask. The environment was modern but lacked the community spirit found in a GP practice. That was my first time there, I really hope I never need to return until the next flu jab. Are there any other good GP Practices in the area, that offer good service?
