  1. I thought ?2.70 was for an hour, and not for a month
  2. Thank you for letting me know how to pay for visitors Alywards, but to be honest, i am trying to sort myself out nwith getting a permit before 30th March. The letter received from southwark suggested you can buy a permit over the phone, but when you call, you bombarded with messages to go online to purchase your permit. The online system is not working for me at the moment, like most i presented my council tax bill account to the sign up stage, asnd yet i still need to produce more identity. Once i find this identity, i have to take it to work, scan it at work, send it to my personal email account, safe it, then attach it to the verification page, its all hassle i can live with out, and I then have to try and purchase the permit after. I just not impressed with southwarks poor computer and customer service systems. I keep reading about this third party involvement, can anyone enlighten me further?
  3. success, I have finally got in (i removed the full stop in the password I received). for everyones information, it asks the following: Unverified account Automatic name and address verification has failed: We automatically attempt to verify your residency, this sometimes does not work, we are sorry and are working on an improved system. As it has not worked you will need to upload photo?s or scans of documents, choose the option below. Document uploads Document uploads Document upload form To assist with verifying your personal details and residency, please attach a scan of one of the following documents as evidence. Council Tax bill Utility Bill Bank Statement Photo Card Driving licence Please note, files can only be in JPG or PDF format and must be less than 1MB in size So, getting closer to securing the ?125.00 virtual permit. I could not add my credit card details, something about a problem with there also, very stressed and frustrated with all this.
  4. I got another email with a different passcode in, tried the original password and the new password, together with rthe scrambled numbers, and noithing. Is this normal???? Do I need to submit ID first? why is it so difficult to buy a paermit in southwark?
  5. I have just tired to open a on line account, got as far as my login details being emailed to me, great I thought, but when i put my screen name and password in, which was emailed to me automatically, it wont take them, I feel like I am banging my head against a wall, someone on here said it is really easy to order a permit online, not from my viewpoihnt its not, its just useless.
  6. I telephoned the Parking telephone line today with southwark council, and I must say I was not impressed with the service. After pushing a serious of options, I was connected eventually to a customer service officer, I explained the problem, he placed me on hold for ten minutes, and then the call was disconnected. I then made another call to the council, and spoke to a different staff member. On this occasion, I am advised I need to open a online account and when asked why, i am told to prevent fraud. So open a online account, i am expected to scan and email the parking service proof that i live at the address (submitting the council tax account number when promoted for some reason, is not enough. I am really concerned about emailing personal information to this organisation. I am told when this information is received, it takes a day for the council to look and verify the documentation. I am then told an account is open, and then I have to attempt again to make payment, I find the whole system confusing and long winded, i thought councils are meant to make things easy for residents, and not expect them to jump through hoops. Still not impressed with southwark parking (these are my first experiences of this service) I really wish i was not being faulsed in a corner to deal with this service at all.
  7. Buy or renew your car?s parking permit We have been unable to automatically verify your residency within Southwark Council. If you wish to amend the details and try again, click on the Back button. If you feel your details are correct, click the Next button to proceed. Please note that until we have verified your residency you will only be able to purchase 1 month permits. Section 1 of 7 - Personal details verification Sorry, you do not have access to the web service product, please speak to your account manager. Well done Southwark, what a good start!!
  8. another question i have, will there be any meters for visitors??? I dont see any
  9. wow, i think i better try this now, thank you for the update, your experiences are not good
  10. Than k you, dam, it is a really big zone, too far to park out of the zone and walk
  11. I agree Penguin68, although i do know there are some roads in the zone which do experience daily parking issues
  12. Hey doogsey, Enforcement of the CPZ commences on Monday 30th March 2020 with daily patrols from Enforcement Parking Officers. I am sure they will also ticket those who have a wheel on or over the white lines, I am sure there will be alot of tickets issues in the first week :(
  13. Has anyone got a map of the zone? I am curious to know how far I am from "free" parking????
  14. no need for sorry, you just got me worried, that roads would have their unique times. I think as people said, ask the cleaner to come after 11am or you would sadly have to pay the high parking charges.
  15. Are you sure Bellingdon road is 11am - 1pm? Copleston road is 9:00am - 11:00am I assumed the same times would be in the zone on each of the 28 affected streets?
  16. Has anyone from the new zone purchased their ?125.00 virtual permit? I am very intrigued on the experience?
  17. From what I understand from the communication from the borough, when residents were asked if they wanted a CPZ, the overwelming said no, but when residents were asked if they would consider a CPZ if there was a CPZ a few streets by, residents said yes, and it was the second datat that was used to secure the CPZ - very crafty
  18. Yes I was posting at 3am, and i was not losing sleep at all, fare from it - not everyone works 9 - 5. itrs difficult to see my ?125.00 as a gift to Southwark, also you dont know my finances!! One thing I do agree is the libraries are still open in the borough which is great, in fact over the last few years the council has even built to new ones which I think is only a positive thing. It feels the labour borough has a war on cars in the borough. I do feel about the pollution, but I feel strongly that most residents in the CPZ voted against the decision.
  19. hello oimissus, thank you for your contribution, i am keen to know what area do you live in, also are you saying ?125.00 is good value then?
  20. I assume the 9am start is to stop the commuters parking (the roads close to ED train station have lots of commuter parking. I think the council did want all day restrictions, but objections made it two hours per day. shame the annual charge was not altered either :(
  21. Hello Ling, I received my letter from Southwarks Highways Transport Projects dated 6th February 2020, do you live in any of the 28 roads listed in the first message? The scheme commences enforcement on Monday 30th March 2020, and from what i have read, the earliest residents can purchase a resident permit is on 2nd March 2020 - it will cost you ?125.00 a year
  22. if you say so, so how do u get a two hour vister permit, when 1 hour, five hours and a day is offered?
  23. So fascinating, thank you DBBOY for sharing this.
  24. you might find these contact details helpful https://www.southwark.gov.uk/pest-control/urban-fox
  25. I notice two of the signs on bellingdon road have had the black rubbish bin removed, and therefore being displayed, eben the the scheme is not in place.
