  1. Thank you, the more i read in the information about visitor parking permits, the more my head hurts. There seems to be virtual parking permits which you have to open a parking account for. They seem to cost ?1.60 for an hour, but no mention of two hours which are the restrictions for our CPZ. Then there are paper booklets, where you scratch dates and trhings off. but these are all day visitor permits and cost ?29.00 for ten (?2.90 per person all day). I am so dreaded all these rules and regulations, let alone the money to pay, I know there will, be lots of tickets issued, just for the confusion. The letter received from southwark parking mentioned a visitor voucher, i dont know if that is another scheme, or one of the two above???? Also the parking by phone mentioned in the southwark letter is ?2.75 per hour. Is it me, or is this really confusing? I thought there was also meant to be free short stay parking.
  2. anyone know what to do if you have a visitor with a car during operational times? is it pay by phone, coin machine or am i responsible for getting vouchers?
  3. I see white lines have been painted on my street. I intend to use my democratic vote based on this experience - your simply cant trust the current Councillors
  4. so, despite most residents objecting to the plans to make our streets a controlled parking zone, the council ignored these objections, and will now make the following roads as part of the zone: Adys Road Amott Road Avondale Road Bellenden Road Besant Place Chadwick Road Choumert Road Copleston Road Danby Street East Dulwich Road Everthorpe Road Fenwick Grove Fenwick Road Gowlett Road Grove Vale Hayes Grove Howden Street Keston Road Maxted Road Marseden Road Muschamp Road Nutbrook Street Oglander Road Ondine Road Oxenford Sreet Soames Street Waghorn Street Wingfield Street The lines are now painted, the signs have been fitted and covered with bin liners. Residents have been told the restrictions will only be from 9:00am - 11:00am Monday to friday, but we will still be charged a hefty sum of ?125.00 for the privlage of parking the car, along with car tax, insurance and petrol prices. Thank you Labour Southwark, anyone know when the local elections are due - Labour has lost my votes :(
  5. My heart goes out to you and son - disgusting behaviour from a grown man on a child. Happy2 is right, this man needs to be sought and brought before the magistrates. The bus company will have video footage of the man in question, and as there are many cameras on the side of buses, the assault may of been recorded from start to finish. What is the police saying? If your son is still attending school, i think the school also needs to be made aware. Lastly, might be good to check on your son with a quiet word, to see if he is aok and reassurance that he did not do anything wrong. I cant imagine how he felt on the day, let alone using that bus stop again. He may also be worried bumping into this thug again on the route. He may want to talk to yourself or someone else. There are many good people in the world!!!
  6. Hello Spartacus, your right, we do need to let the council know. I want to let my feelings know, how do I contact the council?
  7. Thank you, so ?125.00 another question i have is do you pay if you are a blue badge holder?
  8. But jimlad48, the council did consult with the residents of the area and overwhelmingly the residents did vote against a CPZ, yet the local authority is still introducing one, does this not seem wrong to you? Does anyone know, when the CPZ is introduced, what is the charging tariff? a friend of mine lives on an estate in the borough, and there is no charge for the first car, but another friend lives else where and is charged ?125.00 a year to park within his zone - anyone have any more information????
  9. I think for me, when we were consulted, most residents objected to the idea of a CPZ, but from what i read, as their was a question added which said would you be in favor of a cpz if one was close by, thew council is ignoring the first question, and acted on the second, how is that right?
  10. Thank you, so whats the time line and what happons next?

  13. just a warning, a young man is knocking on street doors on the copleston road, quiet spoken and dragging a toddler around with him. he has a sponsorship form on him and mentioned sponsoring the toddler from his school. Far too cold for this sort of thing, and i thought the schools were closed - seems like a scam to me but concerned vulnerable residents maybe taken in!!!!
