When I moved into Copleston Road, on the one way part, it use to be quite and really peaceful, but lately there seems to be alot of noise around. On Friday night, two neighbours seem to be at it, cursing and shouting at the top of their voices in the back gardens between 11pm - 12:30am. Several new people have moved into the street on the opposite side of me, and just seem to be naturally loud all the time, without a thought for the neighbours living nearby. it could be 2pm in the afternoon, or 2am in the morning, there is no reduction of volume, just loud, almost shouting form of chat. There a lady who lives close to me, that seems to sing / cackle loudly a lot, both in her flat and out of it. Only today, a guy bare feet was shouting down the phone to someone. there is also a increase in foot traffic also. I know alot of this is because my windows are open, but i wish my neighbours would keep there business to themselves. I love peace and quiet

So where can cars drop off and pick up passengers safely and within the driving regulations of denmark hill station?

Another viewpoint on this, is the OP may of assumed the bus lane was not in operations due to the roadworks, and therefore safe to stop. Whatever your view point, the parking adjudicator as awarded in the OP favor, suggesting there must of been some form of foul play somewhere. Was it a southwark council cctv who snapped you, or a TFL one?

If someone was picking up a passenger from Denmark Hill Station, could the driver pick up there passenger safely and without breaking any traffic regulations - especially as there is a bus lane in front of the station, and another on the opposite side of the road?

With tempretures set to continue for another two weeks to around 30c, how are you managing to keep cool in ED?

Hello Lavender27, Polling cards have already been sent out, they arrived on electors door mats a few weeks back. Please give electoral services a call tomorrow to check if you are registered to vote.

Peckham Rye Ward Polling Station mix up
trinidad replied to Renata Hamvas's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hello RendalHarris, Not sure if you remember, but there was a huge blunder in Tower Hamlets with the last local / mayor elections. To tighten up the process, the government decided the process, there was wide talk of electors producing pictured ID to polling staff. Fast forward these elections, the government decided to ask local authorities to test run the scheme. Most local authorities did sign up to the scheme, including southwark, in the belief it would stop electors from voting. Bromley and a handful of other boroughs / councils are also participating. So in a nutshell, you do not need ID to vote in the local elections in southwark. -
Most electors should of received there polling card now. There has been some boundary changes, so some will now be voting in new wards for the first time. The deadline for postal votes was on the 18th April, so if you have missed this date, you can no longer apply for a postal vote. If an elector will be unable to attend a polling station on May 3rd, you can apply for a proxy vote, which allows someone else to attend the polling station and cast a vote on your behalf. The deadline for applying for a proxy vote is 5pm 25th April 2018. If your not registered to vote, you have left it too late, but you can check if you are registered, and you dont need a polling card to cast a vote. http://www.southwark.gov.uk/council-and-democracy/voting-and-elections/2018-borough-council-elections
