  1. Probably, but I am in the naive area in which I don't believe that he was actually capable of heinous acts of paedophilia and was probably preyed on by parents who saw an opportunity. Either way I still don't find it amusing or "rock" to call the death of one the worlds biggest ever stars "good news".
  2. @Asset Hear hear! I grew up with him as well, not my kind of music but even so I remember staying up until 2 or 3 in the morning to watch the video, he was a phenomenon at that time, sadly I'm not sure we will ever see the like of him again. Certainly won't see another artist selling 65 million copies of an album that's for sure. Just heard that a band at Glastonbury (The Rakes?) have opened their set with "have you heard the good news?" Tools, utter tools.
  3. Oh yes,I presume you've got the surname.
  4. As a hammer I think the best thing about Neil Warnock is the anagram of his name, so appropriate.
  5. AFN with Piers Morgan it is the ONLY answer.
  6. As he's just parked his car in the NCP opposite my office, can I just ignore all the above and go and Tw*t Piers Morgan?
  7. 1 Standard organic Chicken at William Rose ?6, i standard organic chicken from sainsburys( similar weight, maybe 100 grammes difference) ?8.10. I honestly think that if you look at the price per kilo of meat in supermarkets it will generally be more expensive than even William Rose. And as Sean says you get EXACTLY what you want from a butcher, greengrocer, fishmonger etc. Supermarkets work on convenience, relying on the customer doing their shop in one hit, in one place and price accordingly. You'll find some noticeable bargains and on the other hand they will be fleecing you.
  8. I wouldn't mind seeing some statistics on this. I would hazard a guess that fans of the "big four" would say club over country, whilst the supporters of the other 88 football league clubs might say otherwise. I agree with Keef, nothing gets to me like a World Cup or European championships.
  9. Where is all of the intelligent bantor gone from this forum?
  10. Wasn't a dig at you BBW, just a reference to an earlier post.
  11. Is this what is meant by intelligent banter......

    Art

For me it's Francis Bacon, violent, visually assaulting imagery. I see madness in there. Also Lucien Freud (later works), there's no pretence, no attempt to dress up the subject, just ugly reality.

  14. Not me, we had a bloke who used to work for us. He phoned up to say he couldn't come in because his Cat had p*ssed on his jacket, I kid you not. He was inevitably asked to visit the Job Centre a few weeks later.

  16. I think Ferguson got it very wrong tactically, the midfield looked incoherent and a bit passed sell by date, Rooney on the left was odd, he's a pitbull of a player and you need him running straight at lumbering central defenders. Ronaldo was a little too greedy, leaving support players no time to pick up possession and above all Barcelona were excellent. Right result, only downside is that Terry Henry got a medal, I'll never forget his pathetic whining after the Arse got beat by Barca, what a twonk.
  17. Bovril is indeed alive and well being dished up in Football grounds up and down the country, generally in the thinnest of plastic cups and ALWAYS at 97 C. I miss vesta chow mein, with those strips of plastic that magically metamorphosised into prawn crackers, mmmmmmm....
  18. Christ alive , not Dr. Challoners school ( Jakes academy for chaps), I thought I'd left that all behind........
  19. Do you often go out running with a donkey?
  20. Ronnie Ancona Grrrrrr.............
  21. It means everythings ok butter face is shocking.
  22. The first 10 mins of Saving Private Ryan. Tom hanks or not, exceptional cinematography.
  23. Elephant/sparrow, both animals. Both fine. Unless the elephant decides to take a 'piggy-back' of the sparrow. Elephants being the dopiest lumbering schmucks of the animal world, they'd likely as not do it, the gormless f*ckbuckets that they not only look, but probably are. Anyway, it'll all end up in a smashed sparrow and a slightly confused looking elephant. More confused looking than they usually are. They are dozy looking aren't they? Elephants. W*nkers. Utter Genius!
  24. +1 for Rolf, he was excellent the other night. Butterscotch Angel Delight Fray Bentos pies, when biblically hungover
  25. congrats to Man U, back to my previous post about Tevez, reading about the "odour" around Joorabchian, has been linked to Arms and Drugs dealing, money laundering, had an international arrest warrant (now suspended) and left Corinthians broke and relegated. I knew something smelled.
