  1. I "BELIEVE" theres a huge one, ginormous In Burgess Park.
  2. Roberta Flack
  3. Hopefully if that is the case the skate park can be relocated as it was put together by young people for young people with lots of hard work and effort to achieve what they have done so far.
  4. Agreed, the skate park should remain, especially with all the work those involved have put in to get it up, running and maintaining that enthusiasm.
  5. Depends on who can afford to purchase or lease it and what The Dulwich Estate, Stonegate and Southwark Council will allow to be built or operate on the site. Whatever it is, it needs to attract footfall for itself and businesses around it. The question to ask is what does that part of Dulwich need, that is not within the locality, which will attract custom and footfall, that the site can accommodate and that can offer parking which it already has available. In between Cox's Walk, Dulwich Village, Dulwich College and the park, some sort of establishment that sells drinks and meals. Bit then I'm just chucking ideas around, or maybe someone, Dean, has some radical idea's to take it in a totally different direction. Whatever it becomes it has to be better than the rotting site and eyesore it currently is. Good luck to anyone who takes on the project to redevelop the former Grove Tavern.
  6. ab, - fair enough, we all have our own thoughts, I'm interested to see what Dean has in mind.
  7. Can you share your ideas for the site, please? So the residents can have an idea of what your ideas/plans consist of.
  8. More twisty than parallel
  9. Maybe the reference is to Southwark Council/TfL
  10. If it ain't broke don't fix it. How many near misses or fatalities have there been at that junction?
  11. I can see this being a mare for however you travel, that is a major junction which is likely to cause huge tailbacks in all three directions whether coming or going. A week's notice followed by three of potential chaos. Shame they can't sort out The Grove tavern, but with so much traffic work being done, would be lovely if it remained a pub(unlikely) or Lidl opened a branch there.
  12. The least used cycle lane which I've seen is the one that runs along Sydenham from the roundabout at the top of the hill with the junction of Kirkdale to the other end with the junction of Crystal Palace Parade. I have never seen a single cyclist use it, what an absolute waste, of infrastructure and money. Seems some have no common sense and just follow the lead of oh, let's put a cycle lane in, even though no one will use it. Utterly ridiculous. Well done Lewisham Council, who I presume are responsible for it. All it actually does is reduce valuable road space and slow down traffic. And if the intention is to slow traffic to a snail pace, mission succeeded, if it is to annoy and frustrate other road users and passengers, mission accomplished. Did it save a life or make a difference, no, it's just inconvenient to everyone else.
  13. Thanks for highlighting and raising this. Guess that means severe disruption for bus services, especially the P4 and P13.
  14. Does it all come down to this, sex? Live your life as you want to enjoy it, because none of us know what the next curved ball life is going to throw at us, here one minute and quite literally, gone the next. It can and does happen everyday. Enjoy life to the MAX.
  15. Cycle to your hearts content, but DON'T infringe your passion on others or interfere in their way of life.
  16. Bring back Adam Richman, the original and true food taster and cuisine reviewer, ALL DAY LONG.
  17. Moxons perhaps?
  18. yep, they've moved on to live their life's somewhere that's not ED or London, good luck to them for taking the plunge into new adventures.
  19. Think we should welcome our leavers who drop in from time to time with open arms and make them feel back at home.
  20. As it's Valentines weekend, three of my all time favourite tracks from deep within the boogie bag to get you in the mood, enjoy. And here's your bonus track
